I never expected this to come out on the Switch. Even with the reworked music I'll definitely be picking this up!

The Nintendo Switch version of Rainbow Islands had the original theme instead of the "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" song from The Wizard of Oz, to avoid serious copyright laws. But what the original theme of this game was used in the original Japanese and US versions when it first came out in 1987?

Ah the ban censor hammer has came along and altered the iconic music, I should have known before I paid for it.

Nope, don't own a modern console, but I do have both on PS2 Japanese Taito Memories compilations. Like this ACA release, the games on Memories are emulation, and are emulated pretty much perfectly, with the obvious music change for Over the Rainbow.

3rd place on Hi score mode as of last night. Just unsure whether hi score mode keeps track of scores across platforms or by gaming platform.
