@L337Zealot The new game has a tutorial mode that teaches you how to do each character;s combos in-depth as well as advanced strategies. So, how you fare depends on how much time you put into learning how to play with characters and learn their strengths and weaknesses.

Wow. Amazing tournament. Arcade Infinity is one of the best.

It's one sword each time you press D. The direction differentiates depending on which direction you direct your dpad/joystick at. For example, the v13 basic combo that's usually used, and the one that Goryus used a lot before rcing into a combo is D, D, 4D, D, 236D. That makes four swords launch at your opponent in 4 directions, and a little circle thing launch at your opponent from below.

anybody know if its the amount of swords and the direction it comes out is automatic during the combo? or do you have to direct them yourself and press it the same amount of times the swords come out?

for all the people thinking Sagat is annoying in SFIV should look at v13 in this game.

Can someone explain to me what the Gauge at the bottom of each character is for? I notice it increases when the player lands a hit (and blocks an attack?). I am guessing it's for Distortions and/or things like Roman Canceling from GG but again, I am not sure.

I'm a fightan player of more "classic" fightans like KoF, SF and MK. But, man, this game looks fast-paced as Marvel and technical like SF. It looked like a tough match for the big one, but the game is so dinamic that a character like this had do to a ton of damage to compensate all the general tools they have to control space and move around. Nasty stuff going there, thanks for the upload! And props to this 2 players, especially to the player of the "grappler" on such dinamic fightan.

I meant like actually getting into it like knowing how to play. I never played Guilty Gear I am more of a Street Fighter dude and 2D MK dude. This game looks sick and I am definitely going to get this over KOF11 so any tips on where I could learn?

Is that color select feature only in the arcade version?

I never got much out of tier lists. Tager is my favorite character, he's just so fun to use. I'm happy to see this person using him in a tournament ^.^ Shove it in their faces, hehe.

I know this may sound like a silly question but, is this out in the UK (Europe)? Because I can't seem to find it on any game sites, and I certainly can't find it in any game stores..

Also, since Nu has an amazing long range game, it's naturally a tough matchup for Tager but COMPLETELY winnable, you just need to know your match ups. She is a very interesting character since she has a long range mix up, but as more people play the game and fight against Nu, as Strikerk metioned before, people will discover how to get around her swords and dominate her.

@TheBadhabit9 Original retail price was $60 but now you can find it used for about $20. It's a strange question to ask how much this game is when you can look it up.

@Renas88 Basically input commands for specials are a lot more simple that most fighter games; it's essentially a 4 button fighter with one button directly used for most of the basic special moves (for example pressing it as nu without anything else throws out her swords in a 1-2 combo fashion). That is what makes it so fast however; because you spend less time fighting with the controller to do the move you want; it is all about trying to guess what your opponent is going to do.

@Renas88 It takes times to learn the combos ( took me like 30min- 1hour hours to get 1 combo down perfectly but if you do training mode you would get some juggles, but if you keep on doing the same combos people weill konw the pattern, so i would prefer to know about atleast 5-6 combos. And also how hard and easy the combo is what chracter you prefer. Jus My opinion.

And it is a beat'em up, you can call it fighting game as well but beat'em up is pretty much the same, only used more often for games like Final Fight, Double Dragon, etc. Plus, there's tactics used in pretty much all similar games, from Street Fighter to Guilty Gear to even Smash Brothers. It's part of the genre so no need to state it as something special.

That was a pretty awesome Tager, that first match of the second set of fights was awesome. Tager was down to a sliver, Nu was full, and Tager shoved it down her throat. Classic. Very impressive for a Tager player, that's a really tough matchup for him.

This set is the reason Cerebella's Tumbling Run and Diamond Deflector exist.

Believe me, I haven't won a single Ranked match on BlazBlue, but I love watching others do a million times better than me on youtube. xD The only reason I play BB really is because it's fun and has an amazing story. xD

Can you be more specific? I haven't had the pleasure yet of playing a good rachel, and was wondering what's so crazy good about her. Is it the frog? She didn't really seem to have so many options to me... Just curious, is all. And why would she give V-13 any trouble?

That Tager was just fucking epic. I hope I meet the pros online. It would be a great learning experience for this game.

I'll give it a try, for sure! I've used to play GG in the PSX and liked it a lot at the time (even if the game was a little broken, i just played with my friends for the sake of fun by the time, haha). I hope this gets free on PSN Plus sometime as many fighting games already appear there, the online is actually playable?

its already out in Japan, at least the arcade version. Not sure when it is coming to consoles though.

Bro, everything is re-vamped, every character has new moves, a completely new story that is a continuation ofthe first game, new stages, new songs, new characters...new everything. What more could they even put in it? Two new characters is certainly an acceptable number. Calamity Trigger has only 12, but each character is so unique that nobody really minds. 2 completely new play styles? Hell yeah! Hell, I'd be happy with just one, with all of the thought that went into every BB:CT character.

After playing Taokaka for 6 months, I can tell you that I am still discovering new exploits and tricks. If you play on a high level of play, you will appreciate the amount of frame art and creativity in each character. Even if you don't have a particular style, then it'll grow on you.

is this games combos hard to learn?? or just like every other game some training mode and you will be able to do the full juggle?? ohh one more thing it looks like you will need one hell of a fighting stick with sanwa stuff :) but i will buy it and try it out for sure :D

Been playing this game for about 3 days now and I'm really liking it's style. Played a few online bouts and actually won two out of five fights, I was shocked. This game is actually not too hard to play if you have the patience to try. Very fun game, one of the best IMO. The game seems to be more about maintaining momentum rather than just skill, which really makes fights interesting.

The game is my favorite 2d fighter currently and I'd say its worth getting, although you may be interested to know a new one is coming out in about 8 months probably. The community has lost the initial launch hype as to be expected but overall its still alive and well.

for each character, it is used for Distortion Drives ( ultimate attacks). every time you land a hit the gauge goes up and if you manage to land a combo it go up faster. It's beneficial to land combos on opponents to make the gauge go up faster since every character requires a decent large amount to initiate an ultimate attack. I hope I helped you. And please get this game if you are a fan of fighting games. It just plain rocks!

INTENSE MATCH! I was on the edge of my seat. That v-13 played smart. Keeping pressure on the tager and reading his attack pattern. That tager became to predictable but that tager can PUNISH. The Nu player didn't make that many mistakes so it was hard to get a good combo on him.

are you referring to the Blazblue stick? Yeah it will work fine with any of the other fighting games, and the stick is super easy to modify with Sanwa buttons, they are a lot more responsive but that's no completely necessary if the stock buttons don't bother you.

try doing some of her advanced combos...its not that easy...lemme guess u use noel ragna or jin?

@PsyberKayos (Sorry if I'm ranting but I have a strong opinion on it): The problem with ArcSys is they hand out buffs depending on popularity instead of who needs it. Look at CS2: Makoto, Noel, Taokaka and Hazama, all of them were S Tier (HZ and TK still are in Ext) and had massive fanbases. Another example: remember when CT came out and Bang was C Tier, then everyone said Bang was awesome, and he became S Tier in CS, then everyone said he was annoying and OP, so he became C Tier for CS2? Yeah.

@PsyberKayos We can relate. Playing a bottom-tier character is fun and rewarding, as I'm sure most people who mained Tsubaki in vanilla CS will tell you. However, if a character misses out on so many chances to get the buffs they deserve, you just feel like the developers hate you, your character, and the other players. You have to work harder for your wins, and it's incredibly frustrating. It's like being the neglected child in a circle of siblings.

should i get sf4 of this? i played street fighter and enjoyed it but blazblue does look extremely bad ass.

wow someone who actually understands the complexity of a fight like this. Yes Nu-13 has a bit of an advantage in this fight but Im glad to see your not saying "OMG shes so overpowered!" or worse thinking tager is overpowered. Both of those characters have their strong and weakpoints and having extensively played on both sides of this matchup I have to say this is my favorite in BBCT. Also great video. I encourage you to play Blazblue its really great, unique, and the most balanced 2d fighter.

Getting this game today, my mouth is watering a bit hehe. Wanna go online and try this game out when I get used to it. I have PS3.

@joeydaboss1001 It's definately worth your time. One of the best fighters I've played in my life Lol. If you're planning on getting it, I'd wait for the second game, which is coming out in July.

I think you didn't understand what either of us was talking about.

This guy is like the king of the epic comeback. First match, first round. Second match, first round...even hints during the last round, where one more combo would've ended it. I bet Goryus was sweating like a mad man during the second round just waiting for another inevitable and highly unlikely comeback. Easy to spam D and memorize a few bread and butter combos. Harder to know every single aspect of your character.

@EpicCodes That's kind of been how grapplers work in fighting games, they have very slow mobility, slow normals and not much combo potential but they make up for it by hitting hard and having fast damaging command grabs. Even then that still often isn't enough to make them on the same level as other characters because of their size and speed projectile users or long range fighters can keep them away happily. T.Hawk in SSF4 is an example of a grappler with bad mobility so he's still bottom tier.

If you didn't know, it's made by the same company who made Guilty Gear and the same composer is doing the music. And it's definitely not broken, it's pretty balanced.

I agree, it just seems that v13 lends herself a little too easily to overwhelming attacks. I like that they balanced her with health rating but Tager here was really good and the v13 was really good, should be a lil less lopsided imo.

As of right now it's cabinet exclusive. However, it's getting a 360/PS3 release on the 25/30 (sorry, don't remember the exact day) of this month.
