This game looks so incredibly fun.

Then one day, the greedy, treasure- seeking mad scientist, Dr. De Playne appeared in Johnny's little town. Seizing Johnny's piece of the treasure map and kidnapping Mary, Dr. De Playne set out to find the treasure and buy up all the toys and candy of the world, plunging the children of earth into a bitter darkness on continuous study and well- balanced meals. Johnny and Tom pursued the mad Dr. De Playne with their yo- yos to save my girlfriend Mary and the world.

This was from the creators of Caveman Ninja/Joe & Mac series. I'm talking about specific Data East employees, not the entire company.

This has "Saturday Morning Cartoon" written ALL over it. (I can't help thinking that; it's the graphics and sounds.)

I played this game, on vacation in Greece, when I was a child. I beat it actually. It has some similarities to Metal Slug.

@cubex55 Not really "you fail". The chest at B explodes, leaving Johnny and Tom burnt and blackened, and the chest at C releases a bunch of ghosts who chase the protagonists.

I love this game: it's Joe&Mac on steroids. It's even made by the same people

After all the fighting games Neo Geo have made, they have redeemed themselves by putting in a platformer.....Well done.

That first boss though! He is the first old man in a video game from this era and most arcade cabinet games to actually do a drop kick lol.. They usually just ride things and throw or shoot at you... This old guy went Seagal

These soldiers/other enemies are wimps, some kid hits them with a yo-yo and they die!

Very good game. Since it's too easy , i'd like to spice things up. Start with no lives, only one bomb and level 8 difficulty.

Sounds like fun.

I played this then went to Midnight Wanderers. And man did I wish MW had the slide and jumping damage this had. Still both games are great!
