Does anyone else agree with me that, out of ALL the oldschool games in the nineties, Metal Slug X nails that core funky bass style better than all of them?

Most interesting in this game is how rich are the details on the machines... The enemies seems like the Nazi soldiers. Just like a recreation of WW 2 in a game, in a fantasy form. Such a great game, intense, dynamic, and so much fun

I actually got to play this on an arcade machine in this one pizza shop while I was on vacation up near Lake Michigan. I played it because there was a sign on the side that said you'd get a free something-or-other for setting the high score. I managed to set it (probably because they just turned it on and I was the first person to play it), so I ran up to the counter all excited and asked what I got for setting the high score. I got a slice of pizza and a pop. Fucking victory pizza, man.

What I like about SNK games is that it shows you how to play it and how the controls work, unlike others where they just give vague instructions.

Oh man, I remember everytime I go to a pizza restaurant whether it be "Cici's Pizza" or "Pizza Hut", I always see this game at the arcade room. That's how I really discovered this genuinely awesome game.

This game's sountrack rocks just too much. The doctor says if I keep headbanging nonstop that much I'll shake all the blood away from my brain.

Bonding the soldiers + the hobo man and the player to fight the final boss always makes me emotional and nostalgic af, I always remember crying of happiness after finishing the game with my big brother when we were kiddos, (I’m 28 and he’s 30 nowadays), after watching the whole video it felt the same way after all these years. Such a legendary game. BIG THANK YOU FOR UPLOADING THIS.

Every time i watch Metal Slug i absolutely astonished by it. By this insane attention to details. Lets take Train level - they could just picture some "schematic" train platforms, bot NO, they gone bananas and even replicated gradients in painting and added hopper wheels. They pictures wagons realistically, even made coupling look like real. Every frame of gameplay can be ogled for many minutes, almost like pixel-art.
