This is the best version of art of fighting period! A hell of a game!

This game's design has always blown my mind... the colors, the scenarios... pure SNK quality and originality, there's no SF influence at all, its all SNK greatness, my fave BGM and stage has always been King's with the Halloween theme.

Loved the detail of the bad guys always watching you in the back of every stage.

The first AOF was hard as shit, but I swear that every character suffers from the SNK Boss Syndrome in this one.

I always wanted to see Mr. Big to fry the Arse of his boss but never succeed. BTW, learning the end of this story leading to Terry and Andy's journey of vengeance got me excited.

Really love the background music, especially the mickey's...always the best motivation music.

this game is well done, has a wealth of very interesting details for the time. According to the history of the game it seems that the story takes place 10 years before the first episode of fatal fury, that is part of the same universe as Fatal Fury.

This game was not meant to be beaten. It was designed by Satan himself to torture fighting game lovers not only physically (thumbs) but mentally as well (breaking your spirit by allowing you to pass the first stage and giving you hope then destroying it). Thanks for sharing that. I've never won a single fight in this game. Not one. The computer is just impossibly hard, or perhaps I'm not as good as I'd like to believe. It's nice to be able to see all the stages, the bonus rounds (the one where you knock down fat people is the best), and the funny end credits were terrific to see. Thanks a lot!

I think Ryo was probably being sarcastic... I admit, King's dress style isn't very flattering.. But underneath that tux, she's all lady! (If you don't believe me, check out what happens when you finish her off with a fireball!)

I hate this game with a passion when playing against the computer. They do way more damage than you, your combos do damn near nothing and they tech hit every throw you make almost, most of the time it reads your command as a kick when you try to throw them and the CPU will somehow get turbo speed while you go at a regular snail pace.

I played this game, first stage ok, I can beat Ryo easily, 2nd stage ok, Yuri is not that Hard, stage 3,ok I can beat Jack, Stage 4, Damn, Lee is super fast. Game Over. I never beat Lee in the fourth stage, in Normal difficulty mode, and by normal I mean Level 4..,

Seriously, how did this longplayer do it? Even on Level 1 difficulty, this game is hell. He made it look like a walk in the park.

all charactors(AI) have an attack pattern. what does it mean? oh yes,it means if you know their pattern you could break the chain and kick their ass with no sweat. it doesn't matter what level you're playing and this was a topic long ago about problem in AoF 1 and 2 for arcade player

I beaten this in 1CC on Level 4 just recently!

level 1 = very hard, level 2 = very very hard, level 3 = super hard... level 8 = god

I definitely think the dialogue between fighters is totally lost in translation.

So what happens if you complete it as one of the bad guy characters, as they're playable in this? Does the dialogue change?

How come King is the only one with a different voice when the game is set to English? Why at all is it different anyway?

Not sure if it's a setting I can change or if it's my monitor but the shadows flicker. I also find getting the shoryuken style uppercut a right bitch to pull off.

Did you ever played this Game ? They AI fight so fucking Cheap on LV4, it's just fucking frustrating. You got 2 Ways, fight Cheap like the AI (and got no Fun, because use do the same over and over) or you turn the Difficulty down, and fight like you want and got fun.

Ryo is the best in the Art of Fighting game series. 😀👍🎮
