I paid £500 for mine when it first came out last year... annoying that it's now on sale for half that price!

Yeah it’s ok for me , but I see why some will need to change especially if vision isn’t 100%

@@KelsallsArcade Yeah, for me, I've had cataract removal surgery back in 19, but the cataracts have returned, and the retina isn't what it used to be. I've lost a lot of contrast capability, as well. Means I don't see well in low contrast situations, like that monitor. LOL I do still have an early A1up of Centipede which has a nice big, BOE in it. I've seen where someone pulled that monitor, and put it in this cabinet. Looked way more authentic, too. I want the Joust cabinet so bad, but unfortunately, it has the same junky monitor, so I'll have to find a BOE for it, as well. Luckily, my Defender 40th, and Midway Legacy cabs have BOEs. That's why I got those, instead of the newer Legacy edition versions. :)

@ThomasGrillo glad you are able to keep playing after surgery. That doesn’t sound like fun at all brother 👊

@@KelsallsArcade Well, I don't see as well as I did, prior to surgery. Didn't go well, due to birth defects. The implants didn't seat as intended. Vision has worsened considerably, but as long as a display has good contrast, yeah, I can still play some games. Oh, I know what you mean about CRTs. But, that's only if the new owner has yet to recap, and rejuvenate the CRT. I've run into a few of those old cabinets, at a local bowling alley. They had a Donkeykong, Pac-Man, Centipede, and Galaga, and none of them had been serviced in over 30 years. They were all very dim, blurry, and fuzzy. They all needed recaps, rejuvenation, and raster convergence work, badly. You could just barely make out what they were trying to display. Sad thing is, I'm old enough to remember playing ALL of them, when they came right off the delivery trucks into the new arcade which had just been built in my neighborhood, back in the early 80s. Ah, the smell of new electronics, and wood. LOL :) Those monitors looked so nice, bright, and well focused.

I just use a swiffer duster for weekly cleaning and lcd wipes a couple of times a year

I’ve not noticed they scratch particularly easy… mine don’t get rough okay though tbh
