I get what your saying about the screen issues. When MK1 first released on Mortal Monday, i was satisfied with the home console versions. The only thing I wished for was to own a MK1 arcade machine, and now because of arcade 1up my dream came true. I’m not going to complain about a screen when back in the day I played my games on a 12 inch black and white 📺 tv. Thank you for your hard work and videos. Keep on gaming brother

I'm so happy that Mk3 is finally added to the lineup. Ultimate mk3 is too difficult and the stages repeat.

Ngl, it was real nice to see the MK1 & MK2 cabs right next to each other. However, if they both have similar games, I guess it's fine to separate them.

I guess I have OCD because that screen looks horrible .I canceled my pre-order immediately after seeing it on videos. And honestly for $500 I would expect the screen for my 16 bit games to be flawless. I fear arcade one up is going to lose their customer base over the Bad screens. Your average consumer Will buy this put it together see the screen probably return it and be like I’m done with that company.

I was just about to scrap my entire arcade1up collection with those new monitors until you walked me off the cliff Rob with your review. 😆(sarcasm) Again, always appreciate your level headed, light hearted, and honest approach to this fun hobby. Can't wait to add this to complete the "Trinity" of fighting cabs. And agree with your rankings!

Why dont they ever put the SNES Version of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 with Rain and Noob Saibot, it's like not available on any digital platform or academic cabinet structure ONLY SNES......

Good review! If you are going to upgrade your MK2 marquee I suggest picking up one of Szabo's slip on acrylic marquees. I have his MK2 marquee and it is outstanding.

Great Review, good job. Anyway you can measure the top to bottom height?? Website says same height as the original midway legacy and other cabs.

All those wonderful physical features on that cabinet, and A1up had to ruin it with that horrible TN monitor. Very sorry they did that to you. I've just canceled my order for this cabinet, and all 2022 legacy edition cabinets. Maybe, if we're lucky, A1up will have the decency to offer us the ability to buy the proper BOE monitors. That said, I think there's a mod kit that turns down the brightness, and adjusts the contrast of these TN monitors, but it means dismantling the monitor, going into it, and installing an alternate controller board with one that gives you control over brightness, and contrast. If that works, I might consider going for the Legacy cabs, later on. At least the games that have a lot of colourful graphics filling the screens don't look "as" bad add games like Centipede, or Defender, where there are lots of areas of black. Where did you get that killer Street Fighter II mat/carpet on your floor?

The MK legacy looked small compared to the MK30th cab. The legacy is more of a sitdown cab. If you're almost 6'0 foot tall, you can barely see the health bars when you stand and play.

Does the hidden characters on UMK3 save by itself on this one? Or do I have to do the “Win Streak” strategy to save them??? @Kellsalls Arcade

Good video comparison. Although I agree to an extent about not playing on an angle or on your knees for this particular cabinet not being an issue. Problem lies when games like the 4 player Blitz comes out later this year. Are the 1 and 4 player going to be playing at a disadvantage when they can’t see crap from those particular side angles. I hope they nip this screen issue in the bud by the time November comes around. One of the most requested cabinets needs to be flawless at launch otherwise the already irate customers are going to be boiling hot when Blitz launches

I have been watching some reviews of this product. Why should I buy this ? I want to know how accurate the emulatión is AND every single KZfaqr says it Is awesome AND great but it Is obvious you have No idea whatsoever how to play Mortal Kombat. I never to know If the juggling system works, the Kombos. If you can't play it then you are in No way qualified to Review this product.
