I refuse to pay scalpers for something that was 200 bucks and will just sit in my toy room after awhile and collect dust. Arcade1up I’m sure is going to keep rerelease the same arcades down the road adding more games to the unit. I’m sure they’ll be alot of anger people who paid 1000 for a cheap toy with two games

@@slimc7760 haha you should check eBay. The asking price for the first tmnt are stupid. The sad part is people actually ended up buying them. I’m just watching on eBay to see if I can grab one for around 300-400 bucks. I’ll wait for the turtles in time come out and go on sale. I’m not spending close to a grand for a toy that’ll sit in my basement after a few times of play with the kids.

In Marvel Vs. Capcom 3/Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, Deadpool actually has the nerve to say that line if he is fighting against Magneto if Deadpool and Magneto are the leaders of the teams. He literally says, "Magneto, welcome to die!"

Arcade1up actually pays attention to these types of details. On the burger time machine there is a notorious misspell on the cabinet that they recreated on purpose to match the typo on the original cabs

I thought the whole reason for arcade 1up an the smaller cabs that they were affordable I bought my first one mortal kombat 2 for 299.99 an now they are way over priced 700 dollars for a cab is ridiculous in my opinion.

Unless these eventually have games which you can't really play at home otherwise (like maybe some of the newest arcade games which have, and probably never will get actual console ports/releases of any kind), you're much better off just getting something along the lines of a modded 2TB original Xbox console, which I bought off of Etsy last year. That of which has pretty much every game you can buy via the Arcade 1Up's, and then some, for a fraction of the price, without taking up an eventual large amount of space for that matter too.

@@DaeguDown It's the inflation and increased costs of shipping, lumber, computer chips in 2021. Maybe our stupid new president doesn't care about rising prices and people being forced to tighten their belts. Ever see the price of gas per gallon lately? It's pushing $4.

Arcade1up got me into collecting these cabs. They had a vision no one else had. For me, I hope that vision still has After Burner, Operation Wolf, Hydro Thunder and WWF Superstars in it!!

Licensing issues connected to WWF games prevent the inclusion of a dedicated cabinet featuring 'Superstars' and 'Wrestlefest'. We may eventually get a 'Mat Mania' cabinet is the future.

700.00? I am out! The prices for these cabinets are just outrageous at this point. 2 years ago when they started they were 300.00. They are more a center piece at a home than they are to be used. A couch will get used more that this after a few weeks!

My friend. What you should do is buy one of the six button cabinets, and mod it with a pi or computer, and have EVERY game in it.

@@Eekumpokeum why most people buy arcade 1up is to make a arcade game room not buy one machine in there game room just saying . i had a NBA JAM arcade 1up i put in a raspberry pi 4 in it but i sold it cuz i got a atgames legends Ultimate with CoinsOpsX and if i wanted to i can run a computer or a raspberry pi on it with OTG HDMI mode . i don't know why arcade 1up don't do this adding a HDMI port to it . i bet it would sell like crazy if they did

Nice, I spent well over $5 in quarters and never beat this game at a local car wash my dad used to work at. I ran into an add for this and I'm tempted to order. Today seems like a great day to make an irresponsible $700 purchase.

1Up has done a great job of bringing the ole’ stand up arcades to the masses at some good prices. I have three in our game room and the kids love it. I’m just waiting for the Killer Instinct cabinets to come out! So, 1Up, if you’re listening. Hook a brother up!

i think arcade 1up is way over price . just like arcade 1up pinball it was $600 now there asking $850 . i can see this company going out of business in 2-3 years if they keep them high prices . i don't know why arcade 1up pinball think they could rise there pinball tables $250 and people will buy them . there a lot of arcade fan boys very upset with arcade 1up

@@funtyes1970 I agree that a lot of their units start out a little pricey, but all of mine was never over $300 with the stool included. Sam’s, BJ’s and QVC always run deals and that’s when I try to shop for those impulse buys. You may have a point about their longevity in this market, but I’m going to keep looking out for that Killer Instinct cab as long as they are still in business 👍🏾

Ooof that light-up marquee looks awful. I've got the X-men cabinet on order and our family loves the TMNT game, but I just couldn't bring myself to get Simpsons. I love it, but TMNT was 400 and X-Men was 700. I would have bought all three if they were 400 or 500 each, but not when all three would come out to over 2 grand. They're just not high enough quality to demand that. I think Arcade 1Up needs to rethink the notion that adding a light bulb and a stool justifies $300. They know it doesn't, but that's the only option they offer. And nobody cares to have online play. I bet less than 5% of users actually use it more than once.

As the machines improve in quality, and have add-ons as standard features you must understand the price will go up. The first batch, galaga etc for 300 looks a robbery now compared to what you get for more money. Personally, just got my first (nba jam) and i really couldn't be any happier with the purchase . Best buy, with taxes was under 600$. So in my opinion 700 for Simpson's is fair. Hoping Santa Claus brings me one. Update, i got Simpson's with all accessories for 500$!!! It went 100 off, 600 right before Christmas at best buy. So i not only got that, i got the extra 100 back on my NBA jam purchase with price match guarantee. Yay

That's like the Supreme and Steve Aoki cabs that are limited edition but the art isn't the games on it. Def Jam never was out on arcade so wouldn't make sense.

So I figure they made a one-off machine for an event or a gift to someone a la midway making a special NBA Jam for MJ and GP

For real! I almost bought one of these turds lol. Instead i had a custom Streets of Rage Legacy cabinet made, it cost me about 1k, but it was WELL worth the money. It has gorgeous art, top notch controls, all American made top of the line. A retro Pi4 running thousands of games, plus streaming capabilities from my PC to the cabinet. Blows these cheapo things right out of the water. Video on channel.

I remembered The Simpsons arcade. Back in my day, it wasn’t about speed run; it’s about how long you can stretch your quarter! For a quarter exchange for 3 lives, I can get to at least cloud stage with Marge. If 5 lives, I can get to last stage boss.

But the guy in the video said that they did lol. These cabinets require 100 to 200 additional dollars in buttons and arcade sticks and basic electronic knowledge to upgrade to be useable. These things target video game obsessed people but give you crappy controls and buttons. They got the big licenses though. I think as price is more people will buy less and maybe just get one they really liked as a child or not at all. Before people would buy multiple... hard to do that as space decreases and now the cabs have gone up in price 40 percent.

I have 4 units... All containing multiple games... One of them with 8 by itself... This Simpsons game alone is 700$ for the one game! Thats insane. I really would love to have it as a huge Simpsons fan. But there is no way I'm paying that much. 😯

Arcade 1up’s success was mainly based on their accessibility via their price point. The Simpsons cabinet is the one I’ve been wanting since the company started. And I can’t justify paying $700. And that’s almost $900 Canadian dollars.

I have three full sized arcade cabinets in my basement. All original. Not a single one did I pay over $700 used for. This pricing is absolutely ludicrous.

Y'all are lucky. $799.99 plus tax for the Simpsons game at Best Buy Canada. And that's with a riser. My theory isn't just because of Covid; but licensing as well. The Simpsons as a show might be as popular these days, same with TMNT, but it was quite the cash cow back in the day. Turtles In Time standalone is going for $830!!!

They used to be much cheaper before the stool came as an accessory. Idk if you can buy it without anymore.

Whatever improvements theyve made, it does not justify doubling the price of these machines. This used to be a hobby everyone can get into. Now its pricing people out of enjoying it.

Yes, that Dragon's Lair is naaasty looking. (Not Nasty in a good way) Wow.. (at 4:00 min mark) Glad I didn't wait for it and made my own. I love how this is A1Up's showroom and even they put their 4 player games end to end (breaking an arcade no-no when positioning your machines) :D

Arcade 1up needs to focus more on bartop/tabletop versions. I can totally afford one (or even many) of their games. But I don't have the space for them. I live in a condo in a big city. More importantly, they do not go with my home decor very well. If they had ones that could be put in the closet and then taken out for Star Wars, Tron, The Simpsons, and Zaxxon I would buy them all.

I'm the exact target audience for both this machine and the TMNT arcade machine. But if you think I want to have four adults crowding around, squatting to avoid back/neck strain, jostling to see a screen that's much too small...you are out of your mind. So, if you are just never going to make a full sized arcade cabinet...just make a "1-Up Wide" line of machines for all the four player games with a bigger screen, with 16:9?

Recroom masters Jr edition cabs. You can see a custom Streets of Rage Legacy cabinet i had made on my channel. What i would personally recommend, if you plan to just get one of these, is commissioning them to make it. These are cool, but they are very cheaply made. You can get an ALL IN ONE arcade with a Retro-pi 4 that's capable of streaming your PC games to your cabinet and has plenty of options for games and front ends like VirtualMans. They are small enough for people in apartments, yet a bit larger than the 1ups, a bit heftier too so they don't slide around during an intense gaming sesh. They are usually sold out but it's worth the wait trust me!

Just a word of caution....Simpsons cab DOES NOT come with the trackball shown. Instead you get a yellowish and black one the size of a golf ball....it is NOT like golden tee trackball

The Simpsons, X-Men, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcades were the best four-player machines back in the '90s!

They should 1. Reopen the original TMNT cabinet but with lit up marquee AND online playing. I know they have the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle 2 but most people prefer the original design. 2. Make the popular early 2000s game THE GRID and make it playable online. I will buy that one for sure.
