Anyone else use Cornettes voice to get to sleep? Idk something about his accent and those stories always does the trick. I wish he’d have his podcasts at midnight every night

“Couldn’t draw a greasy string out of a cats ass..” might be my new favorite ‘couldn’t draw-ism’.

Thanks Corny. I'm one of the two people that wondered. Loved World Class.

"If someone cut somebody's head off in front of him he'd say 'well that's a terrible infraction of the rules.'". I think I'll be laughing for the rest of my life now lol.

"You Are There!" I remember watching one of these in the 80s in Social Studies, and seeing a young Christopher Walken as a British soldier in the Revolutionary War.

I'm from Southern California and got World Class on a UHF channel on Saturdays as a kid. Loved World Class. Much more than WWF(E) sucked when it went off the air. Great memories

I love Mark Lowrance. WCCW after school in the 80's was awesome!

Fun fact: Silo Sam was in Pee Wee's Big Adventure. He played Andy, the jealous boyfriend.

Wasting the Midnight Express is just one of the many reasons World Class went under.

I used to watch that Saturday night show. I lived in Dallas. Jim is so right. Mark Lowarnce was like a mannequin. However, I still loved WCCW. Jim Cornette is great.

Wow, for all that travelling, the payoffs were terrible! Driving all over the place like that, you guys earned that dough!

Love the way Jim tells a story! Back in the day I was there! I live in Dallas, and I can tell u this,......... Between late 83 and 86 If you lived ANYWHERE IN THE DFW AREA, even if you didn't like Wrestling, YOU KNEW WHO THE VON ERICHS WERE!!! THEY WERE BIGGER THAN THE "DALLAS COWBOYS" AT THAT TIME!!!!💯 I remember going to the sportatorium on a lot of Friday night's watching Jim, Bobby, and Dennis beating up on the "The Fantastics" I'm gonna get Jim cornette's book!! As a Wrestling fan I was stoked that Jim Cornette and the Midnight Express WERE IN WCCW!! I was watching them on TV when they were in Mid South, and I was glad they were here for the little time they were!! It totally sucks that they didn't put them up against Kerry and Kevin! That would've been fun to watch!! 💯

I never understood why managers were paid less. They were essential in attracting paying customers.

My area of se Wisconsin started getting WCCW and NWA on uhf Chicago channels in early 84 and I was SOLD on both from the getgo. Cornette and Jimmy Garvin were hilarious as I wrestled my antenna every Saturday afternoon.
