Among the litany of heart wrenching moments... When Vi slaps Powder, Powder doesn't say "Why did you HIT me?", she says "Why did you LEAVE me?", which gives a strong insight into how much more strongly she feels about being abandoned than being physically hurt.

I think in that final Jayce scene, what we are seeing is him creating a miniature version of the teleport spell that saved him and his mother in his flashback He is thinking back to that moment and copying all the same little runes the mage used, then when he finishes, everything in the room becomes weightless and floats up just like the two of them did in the memory, and we even see him push a small object into a bright light in the center of the magic, which causes it to disappear and reappear in another part of the room. He has successfully "cast the same spell," it's just much smaller because the stone he's using as the battery is much weaker than a real mage

The first and second episodes were amazing, but this is the episode that took the show to a whole different level. The writing, storytelling, voice acting, animation, visuals, score, and plot-it's just too good. Easy 10/10. Btw, this show is divided into three different acts: act one is the first three episodes, act two is episodes 4-6, and act three is episodes 7-9. Think of each act as a film. The first three episodes are about the origin of the characters and world-building. The sequels are episodes 4-6, and the final film is episodes 7-9. When you watch the next episode, you'll see why. The creators wanted this to feel like a film; that's why they dropped three episodes a week instead of all of them at once. I can't wait for season 2, and I hope it's just as good or somehow better. 14:05 And many people miss this for some reason, but the explosion wasn't still going or exploding multiple times; the different shots were giving us a different POV of the explosion. Like Powder POV, Silco, and Sevika POV, and Vi, Vander, Mylo, and Claggor POV. It's so tragic that voice actors don't get awards because this show could've won multiple awards for voice acting.

@@HahsJeje I never diminished the voice acting, huh? And I know about the Annie Awards, but they don't have the same status as the Emmy's, which are to be known as the Oscar's for TV shows; Annie's are for animated projects; and how many people do you hear talking about the Annie's? No one, right? So yeah, Emmy's should have a voice acting category.

The first two episodes were great, but this is where Arcane fully proves that it’s a masterpiece, as Act I (essentially) concludes. We don’t know the details of what happened between Vander and Silco, but I think we can infer from what Vander says that he felt it was necessary to make peace, and that continued battles against Piltover world be bad for everyone… and therefore he may’ve felt it was necessary to kill Silco to stop the damage he expected his continued attempts at fighting to cause. (He obviously failed to kill him back then though.). But there’s no definitive answer (at least at this point). I don’t think Silco was taking Powder to hurt Vander… he just saw the “betrayal” by Vi as a parallel to his own betrayal by his “brother” Vander, so he identified with Powder for that reason (rightly or wrongly, as we may see). Of course, we know that Vi didn’t abandon or betray Powder… she just walked away “briefly” to calm down so she wouldn’t hurt Powder in anger. And she tried to return to help her! Loving the reactions! This does is a true masterpiece, you’ll love the rest as well. 👍

Powder's breakdown when she is left behind is potentially symptomatic of something else. Bear in mind way back in Episode 1 at the start on the bridge scene which is from her point of view, see how they portray the enforcers and the weird scribbles on their faces. Something is clearly underlying there, which is only reinforced by her extreme attachmen and abandonment issues. Still, I'm sure it will all be fine.
@VeggieGamer23 күн бұрын
Great reaction!! Really glad you picked up on Silco holding the knife, it was definitely his intent to kill Powder after finding out where Vi went. He didn't choose her, SHE choose HIM! Also, I get what you mean about 'is he going to use her', but look back at his reaction when she said 'she is NOT my sister any more', as he looks at the body of Vander.
@F1rstWorldNomaD27 күн бұрын
Silco was gonna kill Powder, 100%, He just wanted to know here Vi was first. He changed his mind in that moment cuz h empatized with her, she was abandoned and betrayed by her sister the same way he was by Vander. Look at Silcos face when Powder tells him Vi left her. You can read all the emotins flashing through is mind. (God DAMN the animation is so good) Confusion, sorrow, regret, empathy, its all there before his eyes lands on Vanders body. He raises his had as if to hit or grab her, then changes his mind and embrace her. Thi wasnt some "getting one over" on Vander, this was him seeing mhimself in her and actually feeling for her
@Hohum3727 күн бұрын
Agreed. His plan was to kill them all before, and it still was right up until he found (in his eyes) a uniquely kindred spirit. Something I particularly like is how they show Silco being doubly disarmed... physically, - the knife skitters away when Powder leaps on him... and then emotionally when he realises she feels betrayed.
@alarichrul663926 күн бұрын
He wasn't planning to kill Powder. He was holding the knife since he stabbed Vander. And it would not be wise to put it back while someone like Vi is wandering around. Also, Silco didn't initially plan to kill either Vander or the kids, his goal was to show Vander the wrongness of his ways and bring Vander back to Silco's side.

No matter how many times I watch this episode, it hits hard. To be honest I've never understood the reason why Vander wanted to kill Silco in the past either, we can assume some kind of disagreement but what exactly idk, or was it before or after the battle on the bridge? Bc that was the moment Vander decided to stop fighting once and for all and so. Idk...
@bryce459328 күн бұрын
It looks as though Vander doesn’t have his beard in the Silco flashback, but does have it on the bridge, and given the attention to detail in the show, I think we can infer that it wasn’t the altercation with Silco that caused him to become peaceful… I have my own suspicions for what happened, but I think we will find out in Season 2…
@soidosg609028 күн бұрын
@@bryce4593 Yes Vander became peaceful after the battle on the bridge, and now that you mention it that's righttt!! It def was a younger Vander and a younger Silco when they fought each other. Ok so the reason must be something much earlier and not necessarily related to the decision of the war that was fought on the bridge against the enforcers.
@bryce459328 күн бұрын
@@soidosg6090 Spoilers ahead for Season 1 and maybe Season 2 (my speculation on what happened and what we will see in Season 2): Given that the show loves to show both sides of every character, I think we are going to see Silco acting in favor of peace and Vander acting more out of war/violence/conflict. I think it makes sense for a lot of reasons. First, Vander/Warwick’s main arc will deal with violence/peace, and I think showing a more violent side to the Vander of the past helps with that. It also sticks with the theme of showing multiple sides to all the characters. Also, it really does seem that Vander did something really messed up (I’ve never forgiven myself, meaning he acted counter to what his values are now aka not out of peace, but out of war). But moreover, it will continue the already ongoing parallels between their relationship and that of Vi and Powder; Powder was innocent and peaceful and first, Vi was violent. Then Vi’s violence caused a shift in Powder. Now Powder is the violent one and I can see how Vi would be more peaceful given that she probably doesn’t want Caitlyn and Powder to fight in Season 2.

Powder was having a panic attack. Everyone in the undercity has some kind of inferiority complex, Powder's is tied to her abandonment issues. She's always been terrified that she wouldn't be good enough, and that she'd be left behind, and lose Vi like she lost her parents. In my opinion, at least. RIP Claggor, he was a real one. So one thing most people misunderstand in this episode. When Vi sees the monkey head she doesn't think Powder was the cause of the explosion. She has no reason to think it was Powder's fault. Every bomb she ever created ended up being a dud and even if one was successful, she knows they don't have anything that could manage an explosion of those proportions. What she assumes at that point is that Powder was somewhere at the factory herself and also got caught in the blast. This is reiterated at the end of the episode when she is left stunned when Powder tells her that it was her monkey bomb that worked.

Perhaps he already had an agreement with the security forces at that time. Then maybe Wander was the one who killed their parents. The last three parts are the best that have been released in recent years.
