I'm going full power mage. I'm wearing vat pants and chestplate, and probably the rest will be atlantean amulets/arcspheres/arcanium bracelets. All of this will have powerful scrolls. You might say "OoOoH gunsell your health will barely crack 1k" to which I say "yes, but when I hit you with a moded 'ULTIMATE ART EXPLOSION DRAGON ROAR!' and do 90000000 damage, I won't need to have health to fight you. You're already dead."

Something I feel should have been noted is you don’t actually need to go into the insanity ranges if you’re missing the gear to handle those areas. It’s fully possible to play in the insanity 0 range and acquire everything in the update at a decent pace if necessary. I myself play in the first range and average about 30-40 chests an hour on a good run, since I’m relegated to playing solo.

You at minimum 20k durability for the Brig for layer 2 to 6 and if you have warship enchant put it on your bill and hope for turning or speed. It's ok to have less speed on warship just use swift said material. Don't fight brings unless close to a island since you can jump the captain so he aggros onto you instead of your vessel. Also avoid smoke layer1+ trust me. And when you have friends keep 1 person watching the ship layer1+

I like ship fighting so i just go for speed and turning speed stat, no ram, and kiting pirate ship with my long distance iron culverins and howitzers, and yeah my ship hasn't been beaten when i got all the ship enchants i needed

Insanity 1 is the GOAT range to grind Dark Sealed Chests. I can get like 20-40 in 20-40mins. Also the ships and atlantians in that range aren't too bad to fight, so it doesn't really pose a danger unless you get unlucky and get ganked by 6 white eyes (Yes, this happened to me.) Brig Build: -Swift Archaic Sailcloth -Swift Ruined Archaic Hull -Howitzers -Iron Culverins -Speed Deckhands -Lesser Arcanium Ram -I forgor the rest 💀

I haven’t died in the dark sea yet. I sail solo every time and harvest about 10 chests every session. Maybe it’s cuz I never go to any deeper levels alone

Quick tip from person experience when going into the dark sea: Do not go when in a server that is 1d 2hrs old. In fact don't play the game in that server.

from the beginning i was sailing in solo, first try of 2h and got true cap, then another 5 "expeditions" on 30+- chest every time, then first duo and got same amount of chests ;-; and im some sort of pve player with not meta build :D i died only once in 14.6 when 3 brig and 1 ketch come to me in like 5 mins and i dont have any cargo to run away, that was lose of 2h sailing and 40+ chests ;-;
