I love Arch Enemy. Fun fact: The Warning got to finally Alissa in person at a festival in Germany last month. And they went to watch each other's shows. They did a live talk/interview with each other a couple years ago

Alissa is one of my favorite metal singers when she features on other peoples projects, mostly because when she sings with Kamelot, Nita Strauss or a lot of her other guest spots, she gets to sing with both her growls and her cleans. I'm not saying every Arch Enemy song should feature her singing clean vocals, but personally I would like the band a lot more if they used those skills of her a bit more. I always love it when a band can do both cleans and growls, doesn't even have to be one singer. The contrast works so well for me.

I belive its been herself who has been against it in Arch Enemy for some reason, maybe because how its always been that way

@@Honken55 I don't know if it falls under the same reason why Floor never had any of her own songs until the recent album because she was trying to get comfortable with being in the band though this is just my own personal thinking on the matter

it doesn't have to be every song but I would also love it if they incorporated more of Alisa's clean vocals.

Yay, the pigs won 🤣, I love that section. I absolutely agree with you, I wish Alissa would do more cleans. I really like the switching back and forth. That being said, I'm not really expecting it to happen very often. Yes, it is on the most recent album, Deceivers, released August 2022. It was the 3rd single ,released in Feb 2022.

Absolutely love the band and the song. Love the switch up from growls to clean. Definitely hope they use her cleans every so often on a song that it would be fitting for. Solid review \m/ Glad you had an awesome day filming these requests as well.

I wish I could give this 2 thumbs up! One of my fav AE songs... it sounds just as good live too (saw them twice last year). I LOVE Alyssa's clean vocals... Jeff/Michael quite possibly one of the best duos in metal. Keep up the awesome reactions!

People most use the word" Epic"about the intro. They use " "Masterpiece" about the overall composition.

I actually dated Michael Amott in our teens. We are both from Halmstad in Sweden (100.000 citizens, Roxette is also from here). He hd his Carcass and I had my band, rehearsal rooms wall to wall. Halmstad is so small that all we musicians know each other. And Mike forced both Angela and Alyssa to spend time in Archh Enemy City, so Ive met both. Angela is still manager. The song is from july 2022.

Also love the clean singing of Alissa. When i hear 4 to 5 songs with only growling i have enough. Went to their show last month. Glad they did this song live. This song is from last year. Great show but loved Ad Infinitum more who were opening for Arch Enemy. This is definitely my favorite Arch Enemy song. Thanks for this reaction.

David, you and I are about the same age, so I think the reason we why love this song so much is because if would fit right in with the music we grew up with in the 80’s. This song could’ve been on a playlist with Manowar, Savatage, and even Judas Priest.

Life long Arch Enemy fan. Seen them with both Angela & Alissa but never with Johan. I'm sure you know that their basest Sharlee D'Angelo was a regular on Mercyful Fate albums in the 90's like Time and Into The Unknown Etc. And I'm so glad grandmaster Amott finally gave Alissa a chance to show her true skills as well as a little taste of Jeff Loomis's genius guitar soloing. Although he remains to be completely underutilized. Warrel is probably rolling over in his grave....:( \,,/

Dude, Alissa is my unofficial big sis with the metal attitude and Canadian manners in the most perfect blend. I love this song too and her clean vocals still kick ass. Both her and I can still kick ass and I bet she can also dish out a wicked right hook

Yup. Alissa and company bash out another big, bold boomer. This is just strong metal. It’s totally strong metal songwriting, playing and performance. And I actually agree with you about switching up vocal styles. I definitely appreciate diverse vocalists. And when metal singers can move back and forth between clean and harsh voices, it’s an awesome dynamic. I do know that many fans of the band have been against using her clean singing. But in my opinion, she’s such an excellent melodic vocalist it would be a major waste not to use her clean singing style. And, this is the first song I’ve listened to today. It feels great to start my day off with a real big bang.

It will be interesting to see if AE lean into Alissa's vocal range a little more. When this track came out the reaction seemed very positive with just one or two people saying - it'll kill the vibe, especially live. Having watched every live AE I can find on KZfaq, especially this festival season, it seems like the crowd gets REALLY in to singing along to the slower/cleaner bit. Only the band can tell if doing this does any harm from a business position I'm not saying they should necessarily go for Alissa's operatic tone but she has a really big vocal toolkit, and if it suits the track then why not?

Long before most people knew Alisa because she is in Arch Enemy, I loved her in The Agonist, especially her clean vocal parts. I still think The Agonist is/was a better Band than Arch Enemy.Sadly, it was not that known; therefore, it is better for Alissa to be in AE i guess.

So pleased that more people get to hear Alissa singing clean and melodic as well as growl and realise it isn't just Tatiana of Jinjer. There are many others too who have yet to be appreciated for growling including Floor Jansen and I'm glad that you gave this song a great score but still didn't deserve to beat Nightwish as it was studio and they were live performances.
