table and other ways, gibs will commonly show wear beginning at the edges and ends because swarf. your ways are packed with chips/swarf so that gets under the ways and beats the crap out of them as we see here. proper lube volume is vital to keeping bearing surfaces clean as the total loss oil arrangement is intended to flush/carry away swarf. not just introduced swarf but also the swarf generated naturally during bearing surface wear too. the front table way and one gib have accelerated wear from lack of lubrication.as also shown by the excessive “grime” you wiped away. that shiny grey stuff in the oil that makes the oil grimy is your former bearing surface material. so ya, that old girl needs more way oil for sure! i’d personally pull that bed and do a full deep cleaning. I couldn’t operate a machine I own without way wipes (none swarf holding type and way covers. i don’t know what the heck machine that is but it looks super cool. give that great looking dirty girl some proper in-depth attention. it looks like a worth wile effort that will suck but you won’t regret. :)
