Custom built for the couple by world-renowned architect Richard Landry, the Italian-villa inspired Leonard Estate has been their family home for decades and is now on the market for $46.5 million. When walking into the solarium, bathed in sunlight and flanked by imported Italian antique columns, it’s easy to understand you’re in the home of a legend.

I did, I have followed him his whole boxing career starting in the 1976 Olympics where he won a gold medal, he has always spent his money wisely, I remember reading a story about him when his son who was a teenager told his dad sugar he wanted a car like his, at the time he asked his dad, sugar had a Ferrari, sugar could have easily gotten him one, but he told his son you will work to earn a car like this until then you have to get what you can afford, to me that's a very wise loving father.

You can tell that they actually LIVED in this home, and it’s a beautiful home. The wife did a terrific job maintaining the Spanish feel of it. I would always wake up feeling like I’m on vacation there.

Mayweather flaunts money he makes off others, bets and business partnerships - NOT HIS BOXING EARNINGS. He’s known to be very shrewd with business, philanthropic and worth over $450 million. He loves the antics that makes him unlikeable, yet he’s always planning when to make more money and spending very little of his own. He sets up businesses for his kids and exes and is still a 51% owner in all of them. He has strip clubs in Vegas and bets heavily in boxing where he ALWAYS wins. The guy you’re looking for is Mayweather even though he comes across ghetto- just like Puff Daddy and his $740 million net worth and many businesses people don’t realize he actually owns.

The great Sugar Ray Leonard's courage and skill earned the money to buy it. I was looking for a room dedicated to his fantastic accomplishments which outshine any of the glowing architecture, ambiance of the grounds and all the rest. The house is a monument to his discipline, skill and courage. I am glad he is happy he is the one who earned it.

This is such a beautiful and one of a kind home, you can see the love that they have pour into it! I wouldn’t be able to sell this house if it were me. I was lucky enough to meet Sugar Ray Leonard back in the 80's. I was young but still remember how soft spoken and nice he was.

🥊Silver Strand did all the finish carpentry on this house. My boss actually patterend his house like Sugar Ray's bc he liked it so much!!! And may I add I got a chance to quickly meet Sugar Ray at LAX a few years ago🤙

It's pretty obvious....he needs the money. This is a liquidation sale so that he can downsize; the yearly upkeep is probably crazy $$$

I think their family are all grown and very successful in their lives. So it's lonely for THEM and they want to downsize because its not the same for them both anymore. The house has become to massive and overwhelming for just a couple. What do you think? Oh the maintenance is probably big too...

My parents just sold their amazing house because all of their kids are grown up and have houses of their own now. I get where they’re coming from.

It's really hard getting the siblings to agree on anything 😓 you have to put it in a trust with specific instructions and terms. Use equity to purchase smaller home and I'd lease this for celebrities, weddings, honeymoon, etc. Revenues for paying of equity loan, property taxes and profit goes into the trust to be distributed every five years...

@@SociallyBrandedMedia hi. Yes you are a good THINKER. But but? Remember siblings think differently. Also it's not all profit and trusts. The reality is in today's society its all expensive. Remember its not certain that the estate will make a profit???... it's wealthy to sell up and move on because all family members deserve their shares... who really wants to upkeep something old???...
