It doesn't work that way. You can only activate your trap card after the opponent turn starts, so they will be able to carry out that turn normally. Now, if you manage to resolve Mekyura the Destructor...

Bricking with a viable modern YGO! deck really just means you get out 10 Special Summons and card activations instead of 13. ... even worse, that really WILL mean the difference between winning and losing. This game is complete goddamn nonsense... xD

I might as well explain. It is a popular joke towards Toyotomi Hideyoshi. The person who succeeded Nobunaga. Japan loves to assosiate Hideyoshi with a monkey because of a nickname Nobunaga gave him. His nickname was "Kozaru" due to his physical resemblance to a monkey.

For those curious about the monkey cards, the wiki says: “This monster is based after Toyotomi Hideyoshi, a samurai lord who united Japan. He served Oda Nobunaga (the model of "Shien") as a footsoldier. He had the nickname Saru, meaning "monkey", because he looked like one.”

Some say he was a hero of Japan and everyone loved him, others said he was a massive piece of shit who almost destroyed the entire country. I do know games tend to make him a bad guy, but that doesn't really mean anything.

Gustavo Ramos Plascencia Nah, according to lore the kid is Kagemusha and he was kidnapped by Shien to be raised as his body double so when Kagemusha killed Shien in revenge for killing his father Shinai he took his identity as well and became the new ruler so Rihan impersonating him isn’t that strange. He was doing the body double thing.

Shien is based on Oda Nobunaga. He was a sengoku judai daimyo and the teacher of Hideyoshi who was commonly referred to as “the monkey” who would go on to continue his legacy. Also funny note, one of Nobunaga’s most infamous moments is when he burned down a temple with many women and children in it. Which makes the fact that Shien is a fire type kinda darkly funny. It’d be if like Hitler was an Aromage.

@@diegobendinelli2680 Six Samurai can look to get infinite counters on Gateway of the Six, and that effect isn’t once per turn. In other words, after you’ve declared infinite counters and have spammed your board with Six Samurai monsters you just keep removing counters from Gateway to activate that effect and then all of a sudden all your monsters literally have 1 billion attack until the end of the turn

The reason for the monkeys: I do know that Nobunaga Oda nicknamed one of his subordinates, Hideyoshi Toyotomi, "Saru" (Monkey). Maybe he even called his even lesser subordinates (like the cannon fodder) Monkey but this is just a guess. Seeing how Shien is based on Nobunaga, Footsoldier (the lesser peons) and Squire (Hideyoshi Toyotomi), fall in place nicely with the other classic samurai references that I do know about. Mizuho/Hand (Oichi), Shinai/Spirit (Azai Nagamasa), Kagemushua/Shadow (Akechi Mitsuhide), original Six Samurai + maybe Grandmaster (The Seven Samurai for the whole group, Miyamoto Musashi, Sasaki Kojiro), Enishi (could be Tokugawa Ieyasu), and the Ninjas of the Six Samurai could be Ieyasu's ninja crew with their leader Hattori Hanzo. Generations (In order of Lore): Legendary Six Samurai (Since this is when Enishi, Mizuho, Kizan [Grandmaster] and Elder [Assuming that's Advisor while he was younger. Or maybe Advisor is actually an older form of Great General] are still younger and active warriors. Plus we still have Shi En at his full power. Plus, Shinai is sadly dead; thus giving us Spirit Of The Six Samurai. Plus, Kageki ends up being Chamberlain due to his multiple robotic limbs) Six Samurai. (Main 6 of Yariza, Kamon, Yaichi, Zanji, Irou and Nisashi) which seems to also show Kagemusha becoming the "Body double" of Shiem in his hay day. Secret Six Samurai. (Perhaps a secret battalion of the Six Samurai faction)

Except Backs to the Wall is the objectively better choice. Exchange to give it to your opponent, wipe their field, tjen when they play Backs to the Wall in desperation to recover, hit em with the *_B O T T O M L E S S_* to end their fucking career. Just make sure you stock up on Backs to the Wall, since you'll be trading that for whatever garbage your opponent has in their hand and if you only have 1 you're fucked for the NEXT weeb you duel.

If I remember correctly, "Kagemusha of the Blue Flame" ends up becoming "Kagemusha of the Six Samurai" in the lore

I hope the six samurai never die. I love this archetype. I loved Ice Barriers too but they can’t keep up with the times which really pissed me off. If I can’t have my ice barriers then at least let me keep my samurai. Love this series btw. Good work bro!

@@deeeerock It essentially is infinite attack. Often Six Sam games ended with the Sam player getting to a loop and declaring they would put enough ATK something for an OTK so that you get on with the next game.
