I saw these episodes years ago as a young kid. These episodes hit hard then. But nothing compared to now. I lost my wife a month ago to cervical cancer. We had a dream to full time RV together. Now I'm on that journey alone. Just last week I gave all the last of my wife's things to her daughter from another marriage. I did manage to keep a handful of keepsakes. The rings, the blouse slash miniskirt I saw her wear in the picture I first ever saw of her online, I also kept this gorgeous dress I bought for her that she only got to wear once and somehow didn't get a picture of her in it. And the last thing I kept was her cat hat. I remember when she died at 2pm on March 17th. It took me almost 5 hours to go back to the RV parked at the hospital. It took me another hour just to leave the parking lot. Once I parked for the night. It took me almost two weeks to sleep in the bed again. Often times I'm still sleeping on the couch. But I keep on for my animals and because my wife I know would not want me moping around too long

I'm so sorry. I lost Mom Three years ago in the beginning of July, I ALWAYS find comfort in any type of sitcom as a reflection/distraction/ and joy especially when episodes reflect what we've been thru as humans.❤❤❤❤ I'm sorry for your loss❤❤God Bless U❤ 🙏

One of the best episodes that you can ever watch. Stephanie was so cute in her corduroy overalls.

It is the greatest. We can all relate to the subjects of these episodes. Real-life issues.

As I always said, Archie was not a sick, hateful racist, like a lot of people were then, he was just raised in an ignorant time in the world. He truly had a heart for everyone, even though he still tends to make comments towards races without thinking first. What a one of a kind actor, played the New York accent, Heat of the night was an amazing performance with the southern accent. I really miss Caroll O'Connor.

That's crazy, I don't know what I was thinking of too. I'm like wait a minute, laptops didn't exist in 1980. LOL! I really thought she was on her laptop for a second. 😂

Love this episode another one that I really like is the one where Archie considers selling the house after Edith died. If I recall ''Archie Alone'' actually begins with Archie sleeping on the couch, and then he goes and wakes up Stephanie. The scene in the kitchen takes place after that.

Yes, I heard he wrote as well, and produced the show, as well as being a great actor and versatile when he played Archie, New York accent, Chief Galespi, southern accent and a great movie, Return to me, played an Irish guy, great Irish accent. Carroll was a one of a kind

When I first watched this back in 1980 I thought they had added a hot new girl to the cast. Then when I realized 43:42 it was just Stephanie in her nightgown, I was blown away on how quickly she had grown up. She wasn't the tiny 'lil kid deadbeat father Floyd Mills had dropped off on Bunkers doorstep anymore.

They did Billie comes later in the series if I remember correctly she comes in the beginning of season 3
@goforho72573 ай бұрын
@@Justin.Ullmann Billie was another cutie, but she was already grown up as she used to like to tell Uncle Archie. You are correct, she did come onboard in season three and her arrival kinda pushed Stephanie to the back burner. They really didn't need two girls.

If anyone plans on watching this, skip ahead to about 5:45 to avoid a shitload of COMMERCIALS!!! Then KZfaq will throw in some of their own. Ridiculous!! 👎👎👎
@Justin.Ullmann2 ай бұрын
Sorry I had to record it as it was that it came on Antenna TV couldn't bypass the commercials otherwise I would get a copyright strike. I can't do anything about KZfaq adding advertisement in between the video and I apologize for the inconvenience that has caused you. I tried to do my best with this video.

What a sad couple of episodes, and I don't think anything that the audience was laughing about was particularly funny but I guess they came to see a comedy.
