I was in from 87 - 93. Back then the medic MOS was 91 Bravo. I was with the 229th Medical Detachment, 10th Mountain Division, Ft Drum NY. MOUNTAIN DUSTOFF!

Where was this program when I was just a 91D-20 & 91B-2FA "DUST-OFF" Vietnam, 1967-1969? Sergeant, thank you for that vidio and Thank you for your service. I served almost 3 tours in Vietnam and my Last Tour was my most memorable. "159th DUST-OFF" Med Det. 44th Med. Bde. CuChi, DauTieng and TayNinh. We had the largest A/O and the Fastest Start-up Time in 1968-'69. I went to Vietnam as a 91D-20 Operating Room Spec. First Assistant. But was assigned to 1st Air Cavalry Division as "JAFNG Medic". I volunteered for ALL field work. Worked with Division LRRP and The Cav's Jungle School. After DEROS, I volunteered for "MACV-Medical" Central Highlands. Then my last TOD was DUST-OFF.

I'm an LVN for almost 5 years and currently 23 going to turn 24 in april. I'm shipping to basic February 10th. Will my nursing background help open more doors for me as a future 68w?

Good luck! I went through the army lpn program in 2007 when you had to get your 68w/medic training first. If you want to do prehospital care and work on the line unit then stay 68w. If you want to work in the hospital use your lpn and be a 68c. The advantage to being an lvn for 5yrs is experience but the certifications are different.. I always thought I could go to a line if I wanted and took the education, but as time went on I found it was more difficult to be a medic after being an lpn for so long.. I bet you're excited! What if you already have a paramedic license and have worked with a busy 911 system? Do you still have to go to the paramedic school in the army?

Believe it or not I signed up for this in the Arizona National Guard. I haven't taken the course yet but I'm so excited! Any tips? Flight medic has been a dream of mine. But I want to be a PJ so we'll see how that turns out in the future.

@@estebanmagallon I enlisted with it in the National Guard. That's how it worked in my state. I would call recruiters and ask about your state. I know that they don't do this on the active duty side.

go to your TMC and to the physicals department ask for a class 3 flight physical and they will guide you the rest of the way.

Hey archizzle! Huge fan! I ship out Sept. 24 to Fort Benning. I got 68W and was hoping to eventually transition into a flight medic. Is it difficult to go through this transition? And if the transition is even possible what would I need to go through ?

First things first get a class 3 flight physical done. Then you’ll need to talk to a schools nco or find the attrs course and look at the rest of the prerequisites

Yes, you can...im in the reserves as a 68W...its helps if you have strong medical skills and are not flagged. Also, have your packet ready to submit with your CO'S approval/recommendations

Pretty sure u still have to go thru the schooling, and when you get out after your 4 years...you are still an EMT on the civi side, look into navy corpsmen ...can become and LVN nurse when you get out of the Navy. Im an emt as well

@@samuelestrada-porter488 If you're still curious, you would go through basic training and AIT as a 68W. Your AIT is shortened by a few weeks because of your EMT certification, but you still are required to finish the military side of 68W training. It's not until after you get assigned to your first duty station and you've spent a good amount of time learning/making your self stand out that you could apply to be selected for flight medic school. Hope this helps!

A United States Navy aircraft carrier did manage to sail into the proximity but I had to refuse the medevac there are surface-to-air missiles and I couldn't do anything about the surface-to-air missiles and they would have been shot down I am still injured and been treating myself

fun fact they just halted the school house for this for the next year. They're redoing it and sending people who reenlisted for it to regular units. Super disappointing when I came back from NTC to these news after it was all set in stone.

Why do they wear the Vader helmets but PJs were just high cuts? Why don't Army flight medics just wear ACH and peltors with comm adapters to helo comms. Never understood that...

PJs fight on the ground, basically an air assault team. Flight Medics usually dont use weapons and only dismount to collect their patient and info. They wear the Vader helmets for the same reason crew chiefs do. Because they are a crewman on the blackhawk.

There are people here in the United States that made a big mistake this isn't India India is in the Indian Ocean and their settlement settlers rights are in India and the people of the United States tribes of the North won't be treated as they have been treated people that have treated them badly have made themselves into criminals by doing so the settlers settlements settlers agreement is in India in the Indian Ocean

I know what people have reported about him and I know I've reported Salvador too because of the 4.7 million dollars I had to spend for a bogus wedding when I saw his Uncle Frank just like his father said his mother's family kidnapped him if they impeach decide to go look for him looking at homeless shelters there is someplace called the 100 peso hotel 150 peso hotel it's over near Walmart and the flamingo hotel if you look for him there is a church with homeless shelter right across from the hotel I don't speak Spanish if you tell them you're looking for him and looking for an translator or interpreter they will help you find
