My wife and I were in the audience for this show. When picking a day to attend there was one day where the guest wasn't listed - just a question mark in that slot. Knowing Craig's show, some guests that week were too slow for him, others were too weird for even for Craig, so we selected the wildcard show and were thrilled when they later penned in Robin Williams' name. He was so good, they cut very little out. Towards the end Robin hits his stride and begins to pull away from Craig in the race of wit. Such a privilege to have seen it not long before he left us.

Craig is the only host who can get as crazy as Robin. The chemistry they got 😲
@HFHalvorsen4 жыл бұрын
To my pr. date knowledge: Craig is the only tv-host that I have seen, that: a) where able to make R.W laugh out loud on a tv-set, like he did in his company, and b) where able to, not only fully understand where R.W was going with any comment, - but also - in totally full honesty; - - Where being able to stay juuuust that million-micro-second in front of him, at all times!, so that he could, immensely briefly - naturally, (somewhat) prepare himself for what was coming next from R.W! - - -Knowing R.W; ... It could shift either way, in between that million-micro second thought. From thought to mought - some time it could take a while... ;-) It could be have been "The Clash of Comedian Titans!", but you know... When you have reached the level, where two comedian giants finishes each other sentences... Then, your are just left in a... Mindblowing: W o w! :-) R.I.P. R.W!

hes definitely a genius and no doubt. but ive also definitely heard him use that line before on a different interview. its possible its some of his unused writing for a show or something. robin was amazing and hilarious. but he was still human. he reused quite a bit of his material fairly regularly. youll likely notice it if you are as obsessive as i am about watching his old interviews. ive seen what i believe to be 99 percent of them at this point. i love the man.

Anyone who loves Robin's comedy style should watch English talkshow hosted by Michael Parkinson with only RW in it (2002). Mr. Parkinson couldn't ask first question until the half of the show.
