For 1977, this house would be called a Contemporary Design, much like the Brady Bunch House. The basement area with the little kitchen was probably an In-Laws suite. As a Student of Architecture, this is a Cool design. Very Custom makes me think the original Home Owner designed it. Also looks like the seperate Heating and Air Con was a replacement from a Central System that maybe failed. So, they put in individual Heat and Air Con. Cool Place. Hope you find your Bracelet. 😊

Ethan…go out back where you were standing. Throw something of equal weight as your bracelet, maybe a piece of bark. Reenact the throw, watch where the bark lands. It may land close to the bracelet…or at least give you some idea of where to look. Good luck…I hope you find it.

That great room paneling looks like genuine redwood. The ceiling appears to be knotty cypress. Absolutely BUILT TO LAST. The light fixtures with the brass-foil capiz shell shades are pure seventies. The Marlite wall panels in the bath were also big then. The tulip chairs in the kitchen are worth quite a lot. They are original Knoll chairs designed by Eero Saarinen. Truly classics. They were designed in the 1950s.

To tear down this house would be stupid in my opinion. All it needs is about a $30k remodel and it would bring at least $300k in today's market especially with the type houses that are in the immediate area. Really dumb to tear it down.

Man, I wish you could do videos like this in Cleveland, Ohio. The city had so much wealth in the 1940s -1970s but has lost half it's population since. The homes in Cleveland's eastern suburbs are absolutely unbelievable....thousands and thousands of gorgeous custom homes, most being architect-designed luxury dwellings on large properties, all of them built with the finest materials and craftsmanship. Toronto is a trove of mid-century homes, but Cleveland is on another level entirely......it would be like taking the suburbs from Yonge St East to Leslie, from Eglinton to Steeles and multiplying it times ten. Thank you for highlighting and building an awareness and appreciation for the magnificent, unique custom-built homes of the mid-century era, when homes were built with quality materials and craftsmanship that is nonexistent today. The "untouched" TIME-CAPSULES are the absolute best. They would certainly be "museum worthy" if such a thing existed. Sadly, "we will be known not for the monuments that we have saved....rather, we will be known for those that we have destroyed." -Ada Louise Huxtable

What an adorable and amazingly clean little house. Too bad it will be torn down, it would not take a lot to make it move in ready. I think that tiny stove downstairs may be from the 60's and I bet it still works!! 😊

One of the drawbacks of Electric heat radiant, when new they were alright, 50 years ago when power was cheap.... but with today's cost they have become far too pricey for a home, and refits are big money, unless you run solar, and the huge power draw makes that impractical as well. A real time piece of style, pleasant and welcoming, If that was built now I bet they would use under floor heat. Cheers, Ethan.

It wasn't expencive but it still bothered me(not anymore) and what do you do with one earring..Well,I did keep it anyway as a memory..Oh, and that house was nice, thanks for the tour👍

Thanks for sharing this, it brought back a lot of memories of the house I grew up in. My parents had it built in 78’, right on the edge of my grandparent’s 400 acre farm. Harvest gold appliances, crazy cool wallpaper, crazy cool light fixtures, my mom is very trendy even now at 72 years old. It had a screened in porch, carport, and white carpet in the dining/formal living room. My sisters and I were off limits to play in the formal living room.😁 The whole house was about 1700’, but it felt so peaceful there. I wish it were still around, but it was struck by lightning in 07’ and it burned down. Thanks for the trip down memory lane with this video!

Hi Ethan This house is absolutely immaculate. It’s so clean. The people who lived here really loved this house and took great care of it. It’s move in ready except for that little bit of mold down in the basement but that could be fixed. I think this is the cleanest abandoned house you have ever shown us Ethan. I love that great room with all the wood especially the ceilings. WOW! What a cool place and it is or should be a crime if they demolish it. Now on a personal note. Ethan I am sorry you lost your favorite bracelet. Let me make a suggestion. You should bring about 5 or 6 of your friends to that property and have them help you look for it. With that many people looking someone is bound to find it. Let us know in a future video if you do find it. I wish I could be there to help you look. Anyway this was a BEAUTIFUL house explore. You really know how to show a house. Take care of yourself and stay safe and good luck with the search of your bracelet.👍🆒

I typically don't care for homes built in the 70's, however, like Ethan pointed out, this one definitely has an earlier 60's/mid-century vibe, which I can appreciate. Absolutely loved the living room with the wood and brick fireplace and even liked the pitched ceilings in some of the bedrooms. Too bad it's likely to be replaced with another mcmansion.

boosting what someone else said: definitely use the rake in the grass to see if it turns up!! also if you throw something else of similar weight you might be able to reenact the throw and get an idea of where it is! ALSO the wooden flower box area at 6:55 see if it maybe fell between the cracks in the wood!
