That kind of stacked up ice, must be one of the hardest kind of terrain to get a vehicle through. This machine made it look easy.. Awsome!!

Забавная аэролодка повышенной проходимости, но Арктика это мороз под -50, металл как и пластик становится хрупким, да и реверса нет, а в торосах можно так застрять, что только бросать ее там. Для тёплого времени года, но не для зимы.

I guess it's for use in the brackish Baltic, so there's not as big an issue with salt spray on that exposed engine. I assume that the electrical systems are all really waterproof? Also not for the open sea, obviously. Still amazing for the unique circumstances that it's designed for. And there's not that big a market to support research and design and tooling.

I don't see any difficult or steep water-ice transitions.

can these things float if the ice gave way beneath it, as you don't stand much chance of escaping from that cabin before you freeze to death!!

Metal tracks are much better. They crush over the ice as where it took alot of high rpm motor for you to get over. Not the best for that terrain but useful on other.
