These Anti-stabs that Arctic put on from 2015 models and forward were just pressed in to the shaft so the bearing actually started to rotate causing it to wear down the aluminium shaft very fast. Arcftic fixed the problem by loctite it in place on later modells so, thats kind och why you haft to do this on earlier models that had these anti-stabs from factory.

Exactly what I waited for him to explain! I asssume its for preventing the bearing from spinning on the shaft and wearing it down.
