This is just gorgeous. I'm sure the people watching enjoyed this at the time, but since then almost 10 years have passed, and that time has only served to make this performance better. Alex was so young and reserved. I'm glad he's opened up a bit as he's aged, but my adolescence was heavily influenced by this young, pensive Alex Turner. It evokes such a profound sense of nostalgia now, knowing this was so long ago. Such a longing for the past. As much as I wish I could return to that time, at least we have 2019s perspective on this performance; absolute adoration and so many emotions.
