9:56 The junkyard is only shuffled when new cards are added to the junkyard. Getting a tie in a skirmish adds that contested resources card to the junkyard (and then shuffles the junkyard) but the junkyard does not otherwise shuffle at the end of the round.

one mechanic I am iffy about, as a player who has played TCG's who have them, is the whole interfering with Snipers and Saboteurs. Cuz you gotta tell your friend "stop", which gives away you got a card like this, and then if you reconsider and regret using it, you just gave away you got this card. Furthermore, it demands you to be super quick, cuz if your friend starts doing his action and quickly looks at the deck cards before giving you a chance to interfere, it's so annoying, what happens if you decide "no you know what, I kill your scavenger" after your friend has already picked up the cards.

The lighting in this video is much better than in the review

Arctic Scavengers was one of the first SU&SD review I ever saw. I still need to buy this game; my friends haven't really liked most deckbuilders we've tried (Dominion, the Marvel deckbuilding game, Warmachine: High Command), but I think this one seems to be a cut above the rest.

I'm confused by 5:05 - "Let's say I've send them both to hunting", is that a legal move? I thought tools and group leaders are enhancing abilities, so how can two Scavengers go hunting? Also can a group leader do anything on their own? /Edit: Also with "you can only do each thing once", does a buy for pills count as hunting, so that the Scavenger(s) cannot shop this round?

Am I the only one who enjoys the expansion and being able to eat the refugees?

So the initiator gets advantage in fights as the first person to act with their snipers after all the hands have been revealed? Any sniper taken out by another sniper, doesn't get their effect when their turn rolls around?

Man, I am always so confused why you guys like this game so much. I have played it a Tonne and while at first it seems quite fun, the theme is great and the game brings out the theme nicely. However it really is not a great game in and of itself, your decisions hardly matter, each game is usually very close with the winner only pulling it out because of a bit of luck. Snipers seem like a cool idea, but using them always feels naff as you are only advantaging everyone but the leader by taking then, while dis advantaging yourself. There is no feeling of play and counter play that happens with picking cards, it kind of feels like you need a few more turns for your engine to ever work. I found it a good game to get people into the idea of some more thematic games, but not something that you would want to play with the idea of having a good interesting and deep play session.
