It has been a long time since my shark attack and there have been many interviews and documentaries on my double shark attack and how I survived it.
Now that I have my own KZfaq channel I thought it would be good to do my own version. Here it is.

Am I the only one who thought he was attacked in the Arctic, and immediately felt confused that a great white was that far North lol. Great video, cannot believe how lucky you were! Those predators aren’t playing around. What a boss!

I love how people always say the shark was just mistaken and they really don't want to eat you. That's little comfort when a chunk is missing out of your side and your bleeding to death in the ocean. At least the shark realized it's mistake.
@shannonainsliesurf
@shannonainsliesurf Ай бұрын
Well actually sharks do eat people. They just don’t eat the surfboard. So when they taste the board they spit the surfer out, but people have been eaten while swimming, diving etc.

@@shannonainsliesurf Sharks do eat people especially Bull sharks. Most are worried about great whites but they aren't traditionally man eaters. Bulls and blues will eat a person immediately. Other big sharks often confuse us for something else. If great whites or most large dangerous sharks actually actively hunted humans no beaches would ever be safe. EVER.

Yes! Thats all that matters! Mr sharkton G. Whiteson-sharkey didnt mean to actually hurt you with that "curiosity " nibble which happened to unfortunately take your lower half at the waist. As bob bobs like a bobber in the foaming roiling blood red sea. Bob knew just before darkness took him that mr sharklin sharkinson just wanted to say "ello!". Thats the important part.

Just coming face to face with a GW is enough to give most people PTSD for the rest of their lives and that’s without even getting attacked. Not only did you get attacked while having a deep cut bleeding profusely in the water, and not only did you get attacked by a fairly large GW, YOU GOT ATTACKED BY TWO??? 1. The shark gave him a great gift, as he wisely acknowledges at the end. 2. Although his reaction was of course understandable, there was nothing to fear from the shark after the initial (exploratory) strike was over. If the shark considered him prey, he would not have made it another 10 meters. 3. Fear of sharks is based in anthropocentric ego. If sharks viewed people as prey, humans simply would not be able to surf or swim in the ocean - ever. They are always there, they are brutally efficient hunters, and we are helpless in their element.

I’ve been stalked by a 12 ft crocodile, while spearfishing. Obviously it didn’t eat me, but it was as close as 3 meters behind me as I swam to the reef. It followed me for about a minute. Like u say, how I felt I can’t describe. I must of looked back 100 times, each time in disbelief it was actually happening. All I can say is, it was surreal, and the whole time I never was really that scared. Where I live there are lots of crocodiles, and lots of crayfish! So it not unusual to be in the vicinity of crocs, but thankfully, I’ve never been that close in the water since. I think in cases like mine and Shannon’s, it makes u kind of realise, when ur numbers up ur numbers up. @@Nubloot i agree that i depends on the type of shark. Some are potentially dangerous, and some are considered dangerous. Most are not maneaters per se. In most cases it’s about wrong place at the wrong time. Sharks just do what sharks are supposed to do. They’re not bad creatures per se.

We've got some beautiful big white pointers and other sharks hanging around our WA coast just off Perth atm. One spotted two weeks ago was 6m and a 5.5m was sighted about two days ago. We had a shockingly hot Summer with a shit ton of people flocking the beaches and rivers and, although my SharkWatch apps showed plenty of big beauties close to shore, attacks were extremely rare. If there was one, it was mostly an exploratory bite and the person was immediately let go. I've definitely had plenty close by me before and haven't always even known they were there but they tend to leave us alone. Plus, most attacks are provoked. Not all...most. Yours *_definitely_* wasn't obv. I remember seeing footage of your attack and the aftermath as well as docos showing recreations so it's epic to actually hear it from you.
