Am 5. September um 16 Uhr startet das Semifinale im Fach Kontrabass in der Musikhochschule in München. Wer kommt ins Finale? Die Musikerinnen und Musiker werden begleitet vom Münchner Kammerorchester mit ihrer Konzertmeisterin Yuki Kasai. Das Finale streamen wir am 8. September.

These competitions are so subjective that in the end they do not define anything... beyond the vision of the jury that evaluates them. Whoever the jury likes wins and it depends on how much power its members have. Whoever goes to these competitions knows what they are exposing themselves to. However, the final is an experience.

Erstaunlich, was die aus den Instrumenten heraus bringen! Respekt. Aber der Kontrabass ist kein Solo-Instrument, weshalb praktisch nur Kontrabassisten Solo-Konzerte geschrieben haben….
