Arduino Tachometer (RPM meter) with IR sensor module

In this project, tachometer is made using an IR Sensor module as unit for measuring the number of rotations. One diode transmits IR rays which reflect back to the receiver diode and then IR Module generates an output or pulse which is detected by the Arduino controller.
The device is very simple to build and consists only three components:
- Arduino Nano microcontroller
- IR sensor module
- and SH1106(or SSD1306) Oled display
The device is built into a suitable box made of 5 mm PVC board, covered with self-adhesive colored wallpaper.

One thing that’s confused me is if there are more spokes, blades in the circle would it not be detecting more rotations per second than there actually are?

In the code, the number of revolutions is divided by the number of obstacles during rotation

how can change display, not show blinked white bar, "RPM" text have center display up row, and speed numbers have center display down row, and text size have biggest, i use same display but size 1,30" working only sh 1106 library, before test example GFX.h and ssd1306,h library not working. but i not understand how change display drawing, first time i make arduino whit oled. i need RPM gauge my son i build cnc need spindle speed gauge, 0-30 000 RPM , one reflect trip to spindle fan.

how long cable can use sensor to nano board. i think need sensor top of spindle sense triggers and cable about 3-4 meter controller box and display at near cnc machine table were controller computer cnc and same can on table see display and controll speed.

The cable between the sensor and the Arduino board can be of any length

ok,working i change library adafruit SH110x,h and addres 0x3c, and textsize 3, and position center, how accurate this is 1 object, one strip to spindle fan cover i have, define screen have 128x64, and all text WHITE need change new library SH110X_WHITE and BLACK too, now need only buy wires can connect spindle and test speed, thanks.
