Filet on the BBQ is a terrible idea. There's not enough fat in the cut to keep it tender. But it's fantastic on a hot griddle; no smoke in the house and no washing dishes either!

As a former member of the potato industry and a lifetime member of the potato growers association, I appreciate your support. And as a member of the north american tomato grower's association I'm required to remind you to serve ketchup with that there meal. Heinz signs the paycheck for half of southern Ontario it seems. Also if you wanna try mycelium those "Quorn" vegetarian "meats" are Fusarium mycelium. I quite enjoy it. I'm happy you gave the fungi a mention, us mycologists are under-appreciated folks. There are dozens of us!

Time to build some proper storage bins. I've seen farmers that have potato bins twice the size of a regular pallet, single pallet size for onions and twice as large again for carrots. If they were ever snowed in they've live just fine.

Does that actually work? Here I been wasting my sawdust putting it on my sidewalk and I put up an 8 penny nail on a joist and hang the potatoes in their bag there. As long as they're not red potatoes it works very well. I used to visit the country to hike and on my way back I'd buy #100 of potatoes from the farmers every fall and that worked perfectly for any white potato. They had more dirt on them and were in gunny sacks & could last a very long time that way.
