I like bling so anything shiny works for me. It can be splatters, glitter, jewels/sequins, etc. I think the shine gives that little something extra to a card.

First, the cards all contain very eye catching details. I really love the untraditional colors of the tricolor snowflake, which is weird for me cuz I'm usually 100% party colors. It almost has a Harry Potter vibe with the custom colored border. I'm not a 'sequins with holes' girl either. I also make my own tiny circle embelishments! I made my own shimmery sprays with liquid watercolors. I use my spray box to spray full sheets of cardstock with blended colors which I use for die cuts, tiny circles, or card backgrounds. They look magical. My favorite card is the mint green dotted die background w/white frame, color gems and scored leaves @11:01. It is a perfect composition in my eye. I think it has the same leaf as the 'Joy' card @12:13 which I also really like. I will def use this video many times for inspiration. It's packed with great ideas. I wouldn't mind knowing who makes that delicate leaf sprig, and also, what is behind the white frame on the mint card, if you wouldn't mind sharing that info. The shimmery sprays I made are my favor finishing touch. Oh and BTW, you would have loved Thanksgiving with Irish Grandpa Jim from Manhattan and Italian Uncle Umberto, who is here visiting from Rome Italy. Haha! I think the Cranberry Fizz and Glitz together looks like Gryffindor! That mint green card is all Crafty Meraki -craftymeraki.com/?ref=41gy5dnkhl The background is the Wanderlust coverplate, and the Olive Leaves branches (yes, I used them for mistletoe - good eye!). As for Thanksgiving - sounds like a hoot! I have a weakness for Italian men.... don't tell my Scottish husband! lol!

Oh wow, Ardyth! I love them all. But, I especially like the use of the negative die cut frames. I guess I’ve never thought of doing that! It’s really cool how you used the same snowflakes throughout all the cards, and video, but changed them immensely, with different colors, backgrounds, etc. Always so much to learn from you! TFS!

I love all your many ideas for finishing touches! I especially like the idea of the polka dot die and use the little dots instead of the thicker gems. The flatter the better to send in an envelope. Thanks for so many variety 👍

If using a white layer, I almost always edge the edge of the layer with a black sharpie. It’s very subtle, but I think any edging finishes the layer. If I’m using gold, I use a gold krylon pen, roughly placing the pen edge half on and half off the layer edge, doing one side at a time, as you demonstrated. So very pretty when done. I have also edged the layer with the edge of my black ink pad if I don’t use the sharpie. TFS!
