A lot of actors switch between gay and straight roles in the Thai scene without the need for dramatic announcements. Pluem Purim, Chimon Wachirawit, Tay Tawan, Ohm Pawat, Max Nattapol, Tul Pakorn are just some examples. By having to announce it, Perth and Mean just seem to be seeking attention, and it’s not a good look. Krist did the same before, but neither Perth nor Mean are probably at Krist’s level of popularity yet, and even Krist - we have to admit all his straight series have not been as well-received as SOTUS, and a lot of his most marketable work are still fanmeets and events with Singto. These actors do deserve to explore their craft and do a lot of different roles; they shouldn’t be boxed in because if they don’t diversify in their roles and polish their craft, when they get older and are no longer viable for mainstream BL, they need to show they are versatile enough to do other roles. But they can do this without having to make these dramatic announcements. Just accept other roles and let the fans decide what they will and will not watch, regardless of the character being played.

So here are some unspoken rules for all new BL shippers out there so our fandom won't be toxic: - Only ship the charaters, do not ship the actors (especially if they've already had a real-life partner). - Do not get mad because you bias is closer to someone else other than his ship. Most of the time your otp are just colleagues and good friends. - Do not ask too much about their personal love life. This one is actually for Thai reporters. Idk if it's a culture thing but to me it's just pure rude and unnecessary. That's that. In short, just enjoy the show and do not read too much into it.

Okay, whatever them talking about "leaving" literally turned this into something. I don't know why they don't see it as just acting. Once a project finishes you do another one. Robert Downy Jr. did not make a statement about "Leaving" the super hero genre. He just started taking other roles. As an actor you should be able to do many different roles. If you like a role take it. If you don't then don't take it. It's just like people that spend their careers doing comedy and try to act in serious roles. They didn't make a statement about "Leaving" comedy. Because that sounds like whatever you were doing before is less than.

I don't know in reality (because I don't follow gossip enough) but it is a common trope in movies about actors. Like actor complying in an interview that he/she don't like roles that he is getting, he/she want something new. This is a similar issue I guess.

Because they're Thai. And this is how it's done there. BL is a different role entirely. It's barely ever featured in actual mainstream lakorns and movies, which is what these actors are aiming for. They also make these announcements to be open and honest with their fans, so they understand their intentions. It's pretty standard. One of the most famous koojins (ships), Yaya and Nadech, had to also address their intentions to take more roles outside of their pairing. It's a whole thing over there.

I think a huge problem with these roles comes after the show is finished. For months/years these men have to hide their private lives and create this "ship" because that draws in fans, and fans=money. But then the ship becomes so strong that roles with other actors have to be dismissed. And behind the scenes these men are mostly in their early 20s, mostly straight and some are still in uni. Idk how Perth’s statement was problematic at all? He just said that he wanted to branch out from just BL, which is the only thing he was doing. Mean’s wasn’t really even problematic either but I get how he could have been rubbed the wrong way. And I definitely agree that BL plots and storylines were more shallow and quick than straight dramas, therefore leaving them to not show their full acting abilities. I don’t think I’ve seen any other BL that has such a complicated and deep and emotional storyline as Until We Meet Again. As well as an inclusive drama because there are straight relationships and there are female roles that aren’t just side roles. I feel like they were kinda in the right for wanting to leave to show their true acting talents because a lot of BL storylines are shallow and I hate it. Not to mention there are barely ANY GLs in any Asian forum and that makes me, as a Pansexual female who does lean more towards girls, very sad.

Things that the BL industry needs to do in order to improve (PLEASE READ ALL): 1. Directors and writers need to experiment with different storylines to achieve greater depth in terms of the plot of BL. A good example is P'New's Until We Meet Again (adapted from the novel Red Thread) in which reincarnation is a relatively fresh and new concept in the BL universe. Until We Meet Again jumped to number 1 on my list of favorite BLs because of this (and because of the godlike cast and acting). Having different storylines would also improve the actors themselves because they can feel that they are being challenged more. Possible suggestions for a unique plot are those that branch out from a school setting and a promising upcoming BL with a unique plot is Tale of A Thousand Stars. 2. In order for issues like this to lessen in the future, I think that there should be an increased representation of actors who are actually apart of the LGBTQ+ community in BL series. This would make sense because if the characters are gay in the first place, then the actors themselves should preferably have the same gender as the character they are acting as. It is kind of an insult to the LGBTQ+ community to have only a handful of actors who are actually apart of the community to act in series which are meant to represent the LGBTQ+ community (although those who are actually apart of the community are GENUINELY AMAZING ACTORS like Fluke and Cooheart) 3. FANS LITERALLY SHOULD CALM DOWN. We should all know that they are just acting and pushing them to do stuff that they feel uncomfortable of doing is just wrong. Although I admit I ship several BL couples and wish they would be together in real life but that's just in MY OWN IMAGINATION. Respect the actors and just appreciate their actual acting. They're here to do their jobs and we should not force them to do anything they don't want to do.

It's discrimination say that a straight dude can't play a gay role,the best actor stay with the role,easy to understand,not all actors are gay,so is impossible to have all BL shows where most cast is gay,you shouldn't be choosed only because you are gay,but because you have talent.

What Mean said on his statement is basically the same thing what Krist Perawat said, he mentioned before that SOTUS will be his only BL dramas and he will only accept BL roles if his partner is with Singto. They are actors, that do their jobs so damn good that we as fans naturally fell in love with their dramas. But, again they are actors so we as fans must know how to differentiate reality and fiction. That’s the problem for most BL fans that create the toxic atmosphere, pushing their delusions on the actors that makes them burdened. All I can say is as actors they have the right to spread their wings, as most BL novels are predictable and by means have limited chances for improvement. Just my opinion

I don't watch hetero Thai stuff, so I don't know how fans treat the other actors to be able to draw a fair comparison. But from my limited point of view, I do think the fan service expected from BL actors is absurd and makes me extremely uncomfortable whenever I come across it. Shipping characters is one thing, but having them act in public like they're close / lovers / whatever in real life is repulsive. I can't blame these actors for not wanting to have multiple ships. Just imagine what it must be like having to fake intimacy with your coworkers 24h/day just to make a few extra bucks! I don't blame these guys leaving the genre, I'm just sorry that the crazy fanbase and the whole industry is set up in a way that takes away their dignity and self respect as actors. Bravo to your comment @AnaLemos, especially the last sentence about how certain "fans" love these actors, but only when they behave like a pet, in order to please them. The "fan service" thing has been something that is an issue for me. I don't follow musical pop artists/groups from Korea or Japan, but I have read that those performers are also required to do "fan service". If you like the talent of these performers, then why is the "fan service" a necessity for them to be obligated to perform?! Isn't what they do onscreen in their music videos, series, films, and/or concerts enough? These questions and view point, is coming from a recent viewer of BLs, who resides in the US and frankly hasn't seen any of the "required fan-servicing" being placed on performers (actors, actresses, singers, dancers, etc.) in our country, compared to what's being asked of these performers in other countries. Even when actors/actresses are in the midst of doing promotion for their tv series, films, they're not asked to kiss, fondle, sing to, or mimic that they as the performer is in some "real-life" romance with their on-screen partner, in order to promote their work.

If you haven't I recommend you watch Dark Blue and Moonlight and HIStory series (which has really great acting and gets better plots in each season (plus most of the actors are clearly allies, I have a feeling you're specially gonna like the Right or Wrong and Trapped stories)... I think where Thailand goes for quantity (which is why a lot of BLs can get repetitive), Taiwan usually goes for quality. P.S.: A video talking about Thai and Taiwanese BLs would also be interesting btw

Vittoria Nascimento Also, so far, the best acting I’ve seen is in Guardian starred by Bai Yu and Zhu Yi Long. Though an article said that it was a “watered down” BL, the lead actors looked so natural on screen. In Thai BL series, I’ve only seen where Singto and Krist, Tay and New, and Off and Gun, and Mew and Gulf starred. Based on story, they’re all good despite the cliches, and I think Sotus S and DBK have characters who grew mentally and emotionally. Based on acting, I’m partial to Krist, Gun, and Gulf. Based on screen chemistry, either Krist and Singto or Tay and New.

Their opinions are both valid but I feel like making a statement was unnecessary if they want to experiment and try different roles the door is wide open for them why not be able to be versatile and act multiple roles like many other Thai and American actors are able to do for example Singto and Krist both act in bl and straight dramas I feel like they use bl as a stepping stone in order to get enough status and fans they need,and then abounded the role.Actors in movies like "call me by your name" and the Chinese series history 1,2 and 3 most aren't actually gay in real life but are still to perform their roles. The main actor in the. Movie " call me by your name" is married and has kids but was still able to perform for, his role in a lgbtq movie that was extremely popular I think that their afraid of being affiliated with a gay stigma in their careers and want to break free it ,but in the end it's only acting not real life and it's their decision to do as they please with their career.

I absolutely agree, there are many actors who feature in LGBT movies and shows that are straight. It's kind of hard to picture now, but most of those Thai bl actors are probably straight or bi. In the movie "rocketman" both of those actors were straight and did very well in that roll. Also Jared Leto played a trans woman in the movie "dallas buyers club" while not being trans either. I think they could do very well in other genres, it would probably just be weird at first not seeing them with a male but they are amazing actors.
@AbbyPlaysMspx4 жыл бұрын
they shouldnt have to leave in the first place. they're actors. their job is to act and try different roles and not be confined to one specific role. but im assuming they feel obligated to "leave" because of the sort of culture they're in. bl actors are forced to do fanservice OFF screen just to satisfy the minds of fans. fan service isnt always necessarily bad.. i guess it helps bring attention to the show, but when it gets to the point where the actual actors possibly start to feel discomfort with one another and potentially ruining their friendship, then thats just too far. ive noticed many bl "fans" fetishise gay relationships. and it doesnt help when they put scenes in bl series where they just have 2 random girls obsessing over the relationships of gay couples - making fan pages for them, taking pictures and posting them onto these pages. its really weird to see such behaviour kind of be.. normalised? within these shows? idk.

First of all, being BL actors really hard decision. After you did a great job, you'll have a lot of contract to continue your work with this kind of thing, such as fan services, CF, variety show, etc. Fans always keep watching their relationship on cam or off cam. They're feel like haunted and tired being "gay". Some people maybe can accept this as professionalism. But, being "gay" for entire life just for makes fullfil what's fans want sometimes makes them feel tired. They have real life tho. Want to have a girlfriend etc. So, we have to understand them

I watched Perth act in "The Stranded" and was blown away by his acting. He does play a gay role in the show, but the show mainly revolves around the straight characters as well as the mystery of the island. His acting was so good and breathtaking that it makes me understand why he wants to explore roles outside of bl. The genre isn't known for the best screenwriting or plot most the time. I'm sad I wont get to see him in bl's, but happy he's doing something for him. It's his life after all! I just wont see much of him as a LGBT person who doesn't consume much straight media tbh.

Reading the statement in the video, I can see why they want to leave BL though. Most BL fans cannot distinguish between reality vs fantasy. I always wonder why these actors need to do CP skinship outside the series for like very long long period. Apparently this is fanservice. And this is how they will get popular. But by doing this they will create fanatic fans who can't accept their ship being separated and acted with another people. I have seen this happened a lot of times on Twitter and Instagram. And this will create many problems. 1 - Once the ship is sail, it will hard for the actors to act in another BL series where they need to partner up with different people. Since fans are obsessing with the ship too much, it will create a lot of fear. There will be a fear of fan not able to accept their new partner (like how Mean only want to accept project if his partner is Plan). There is a fear their series will bomb because of that. Also it is not necessary BL, but acting as gay couple in normal drama will be also hard for them. When Singto acted in Friendzone, his partner "Nat" got a lot of hate comments on social media because of his character. And those hate comments coming from Singto/Krist ship fans. This will definitely create a problem in the future because it literally means once you had been ship, you are done. That is your BL partner for the rest of you career. It create limitation to the actor. 2. BL series in my opinion let be honest are mostly not that versatile in term of plot. So if they keep acting in BL, there is a fear that they will be typecast as certain type of actor. I know BL industry is now booming in Thailand, but do people really want to see same people acting as same partner every year? I think even the producer will get tired of them. From what I can see, GMMTV actors are not just typically cast as BL actors. They will act in different genre also. Also for BL, they are usually partnered up with different cast for different drama (except off/gun). So that is why i think we don't really see them making these kind of statements (except Krist who don't want to act in BL anymore).

there are 2 types of shippers, the delusional people and the real fans. i think its important for them to make a statement like that cause from what i can see, bl actors dont get much supports when they play straight roles (um krist and newwi for example) the delusional shippers even go crazy if they have girlfriends in real life. delusional shippers are scary, i dont wanna generalize but the delusional shippers are alwayd the loud ones they attack the love of their life and act superior. basically, making a statement makes the delusional shippers lose interest, however, the real ones will stay. its better for them to lose delusional shippers than trying to act like their bl partners are their real lovers. i pity them when they have to put an act even when they are outside of shooting, the need to put on fan services and when their actions get misunderstood.

You made some points and I have to agree that they shouldn’t be shamed for leaving. As a gay man, to me the bigger issue is the use of homosexuality to gain popularity and build your career and cishetero men filling all these rolls that could be given to actual gay men. Not saying anyone can’t play a ROLE, but my issue is how easy it is for these straight guys to detach themselves from it after they’ve built their entire careers up by pretending to be gay, selling homoeroticism but real gay men have to live with that truth daily. I guess it’s more bad on the casting ppl’s end and not so much the actors but still it’s crazy how once they reach a certain level of fame & success it’s so easy for them to just dip and want nothing to do with it, like they basically just used playing gay, fanservice, etc. to gain clout and leave. But also, I can see how BL drama’s can be and probably are for most ground-level stepping stools used to raise their repertoire, experience, & rap sheet. It’s an easy in to the industry for them so I can’t really blame them for going for it and taking the opportunities. I just wish better for actual LGBTQ+ talent. :(

Another point is how long can an actor be involved in “college age” BL series?? It becomes hard to visualize Perth at 40 playing an 18 year old college student. Of course the actors want to branch out an grow in their chosen profession! More power to them!!

Honestly I think many of these actors use bls to quickly raise their popularity then stop doing them. I feel like it’s their plan, they never intend on staying in the genre. I have a huge issue with Thailand when it comes to the bl industry. First of all they focus more on quantity rather than quality. They dont bother focusing on good scripts , good stories, just because something focuses of gay relationships doesn’t mean they can’t write good stories, look at Taiwan, they come up with good bl stories. Secondly, I have a huge problem with the fan service thing, why is that even needed though? Honestly I can understand why an actor wouldn’t want to go through all that everytime they are in a bl. Thirdly I feel like them making it a big deal like this makes it seem like they just used this genre and it’s fans to become famous, why does it have to be one or the other? Look at Singto , he’s been in many bl dramas with good story lines and he’s also branching out into straight roles .Other actors can play gay men in one drama, play straight serial killers in another drama, play drag queens in another drama then star in a straight romcom etc, why can’t these Thai actors do that? Are y’all even real actors though? Or just pretty boys who want to look cool on camera? If any of these guys took acting seriously then the only thing that they would care about is how good the script is, not whether something is bl or not!

I think it's a complicated issue. I think there are some genuinely really interesting characters in BLs, and I love when someone whose acting is good enough to bring them to life lends their talents to a series - god knows I've seen some series where I've been thoroughly uninspired by the acting! And I think the interesting thing about Thai BLs is that, out of all Thai media, it has the widest international reach and the biggest international fanbase. I think it's a great way to start your career, and actors like Singto show that you can have multiple roles in the genre and make a good long career out of it - there's a reason why he has such a huge fanbase! It's because so many people connect with it so much. Most BL fans that I've encountered are queer themselves. Like you, I love that there's this whole genre of queer media that (mostly!) is nice and romantic and has happy endings. So I'm someone who (although of course, it's their career and their choice) finds it a bit of a strange move for them to announce that they don't want to do BL any more. I wish that people like Perth (who is a phenomenal actor in my opinion) didn't sort of... look down on the significance of the genre? I think it's important work, and it kind of felt like they were implying that it was lesser somehow. Like they wanted 'real' roles. I think BL gets sterotyped as some kind of fanservice factory for straight girls (which, by the way, is also important in its own way - people exploring the topics of relationships and sex by fixating on people who are 'safe' to them is a pretty important role to play in someone's development, especially when that part of society can seem so threatening to young girls) when in reality, it's so important beyond that.

I have a lot of the same sentiments. I was a bit taken aback when i first heard the news and ready to be in my feelings. In the end i think what more so put me off was the fact that they even felt the need to make statements, but i get it. There are countless actors (i mean seriously so many) who’ve been typecasted for their entire careers and can never breakout of a specific role. I get how that can be frustrating for someone who considers acting their craft and not just the next paycheck. A lot of dramas are super tropey not just BL, but i get the lack of depth of characters (do we reallllyyyy need another college drama). Also shipping culture isn’t just Asian or just BL (what most recently comes to mind is Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga), but it is incredibly pervasive in BL along with fan service and can understandably be incredibly uncomfortable for these mostly straight actors. I guess i say all that to say i want more for BL as a whole. These statements make BL seem like a genre you get stuck in (unwillingly). Anyway, I’m a Perth Stan b/c of LBC and I wish the best for Perth and Mean in their careers. As an aside i was happy for Singto to see him in a role outside of BL, although, again i don’t want it to seem like a genre that actors should feel stuck in.

I understand that they are leaving and I actually support their decision, personally I'm a fan of their acting so if they star in any other shows that pick my interest, dude, I for sure will be watching it. I think that there are many Thai BL dramas with good plots, some can be something more like... "drama/comedy/Romantic novel" like "Until we meet again" and "Why RU?" and something more "Realistic situations" like Sotus S ( which felt very real to me in a way that me as a non heterosexual man could relate to) same to Dark Blue Kiss, 3 will be free and even Theory of Love (my personal fav) I think that there's good and challenging characters to portrait in BL and the example I can give is Pharm/In from Until we meet again, Third from Theory of Love and hell, even Longh from TharnType, but sadly there are not enough of them. I would love to keep watching more and more dramas with this quality of acting and diversity of situations. Yes, in the end all of them are about love but the ways that take the characters to it are different, sometimes it's a simpler love story and sometimes is very bumpy road. I think that sometimes the plot doesn't need to be that deep and abstract to have great characters and situations, sometimes the most difficult things to portrait are the simplest ones... I went to a GunOff fanmeeting once in S.Korea last summer... Honestly I think the problematic thing are the fans, honestly I really like Off as an actor and I wanted to see him the most (I like Gun too, just not as much). What shocked me was that, they gave them games to play and songs to sing, and I don't know why it didn't seem they were having THAT MUCH fun... honestly the funniest and most interesting parts were the interviews, otherwise fans were just like screaming everytime they touched or somehow got close... I was just so shocked, i was sitting here with my friend and we were just... just shocked... it was clearly toxic, even the relation between fans and actors, I mean, I get why they would want to leave this industry, it's very tiring, they have to act 24/7, they can NOT do something wrong, it kind of remind me of the kpop industry SOMEHOW (a little though, don't attack me ahah)... Anyway, just my point of view, I will still support both Mean and Perth ofc🥺😌

I don't quite know what you expected at a BL fanmeet where they make the actors do those types of games. Try to visit fanmeets that don't do games like that since it's just fanservice.

It doesn't mean fans are toxic... It's just people love them to see together that's why they go to see them so of course they will scream me and my friends scream just watching them in screen seeing them in real is a dream come true..its just you don't understand the crazy bl lovers

Why are people making such big issues about them leaving BL dramas? It's not wrong! It's their choice. If you like them as actors just respect their acting. People should stop making big issue about words they use. If they say anything people make big issue, if they don't make statement people make issues. These are 20+ year olds..they deserve to have a life. Stop shipping actors!

I totally agree with what you are saying. I think it must originate from Thai culture this need of fan service. We don’t really see this anywhere else. I admit I enjoy watching the actors relationships blossom outside of the dramas but only if it is true. I sometimes find that these Thai media and variety shows go to far in all these games they make the actors play and comments they make. It can’t be easy as the actors themselves can’t be themselves but have to literally put on a show. They must be great actors to do so but it can’t be comfortable and must be tiring to always be aware of who you with and what you do. Fans need to seperate reality from fantasy and just be happy for the actors but not intrude on their personal lives. So thank you for your clip!

I don't usually comment but here we are. i haven't always been a fan of bl, mostly because i am socially and culturally far away from lgbtq communities (doesn't mean i don't support them tho, i accept everyone for who they are straight or gay or bi or whatever as long as no one is invading anyone's freedom), but thanks to this quarantine, i had way too much time, one friend i know always talks about bl, so i checked it out and in the course of two weeks i watched soooo many bls (LBC, Tharn and type, theory of love,all of the HIStory series, UWMA, dark blue kiss... and a lot others) and yeah i liked them, but at the same time i am frustrated by them. i am a person who watches soooo many dramas and series, so to see almost the same patters in so mani BLs, college guys who hate each other then kiss each other and boom, in love, or two guys who see each other for a first time, and after 3 seconds they are madly in love?? or in some series a poor acting or poor directing or poor sound quality ?? what i think immediately is: is this what the lgbt community deserves ? series that seem like they were produced with a very low budget... now i know that most of these series are written by straight females who fantasize about gay couples, but to turn a book into a series, some changes could be done honestly, at least in respect of the lgbt community. now i read about these two actors 'leaving' the bl acting and then i watched this video and THANK you alot about it, because all i've seen was hate from people, when here, as a straight female i think i can understand them. their dreams were probably to be actors, and then they auditioned and acted in bls even tho they were straight, and to show that support and do those roles, i don't think it was easy, so for them to choose to pursuit their initial dream (as i suppose of crs), it is not selfish, but normal and everyone should respect their decisions, i don't see it insulting for the community, it they were disrespectful in the first place they wouldn't act in BL series. and as i said, i don't think BL (for now) is enough space to show their capacities as actors) --> this is only my opinion, you may agree, or not. everytime i watch a bl, i wish there were a straigh couple portrayed in it, i don't want to see 3 to 5 gay couples in one series, but if there was what everyone in the world (almost) see as the normal kind of relationship, that would make a male-male relationship equal to female-male or female- female relationships... there shouldn't be dramas for straights only or gays only. one drama i love dearly is the korean drama "love with flaws" that portrays for the first time (i think) a full love story between two guys (i was dying for a kiss but it did not happen) and i loved that along side the other love stories, their love story was told, and they showed how it progressed, and to some extant showed that it was normale and equal to a straight relationship, which i wish would be seen in bl. i lile bl, and i will continu to watch it. but i will always be here wishing it would improve! (sorry for the long ass comment)

I watched a short series called 'His' recently, a japanese short series ( 5 episodes ) and it was one of the most well acted, emotionally charged 'BL' series' I have ever watched. It was what I wish 'BL' was most of the time, not so much focused on building up to super charged smooch times, but more focused on the character development and their internal struggles and how the people around them are affected and react, instead of having ever person around suddenly become interested in the same sex lol. Shipping can really make people delusional, that is why I don't ship the actors outside the series. I feel it creates a lot of limitations for the actors and gives them a really heavy sense of responsibility for the fans. It really puts them in a predicament that they shouldn't have to be in, especially when it comes to deciding to take other acting jobs that aren't in the 'BL' genre. Sorry I rambled LOL!

A V , I literally just watched His yesterday! It was wonderfully acted and left me smiling at the end, no kissing needed just wonderful acting. As for their statement, I personally think it's the right thing to do. It's their way of showing respect to their MOSTLY fujoshi and fudanshi fans who desire nothing more than to see them act in a bl series. Especially because "accepting other genres at the same time staying in bl entertainment" and "actually leaving the bl world" are two different things. And one more thing, don't normalize and lock them down into our mindset that they are ACTORS and their job is to act whatever role is given to them. As an actor, it's their primary duty to effectively communicate with their audience. Yes it is a sign of professionalism to play various roles but isn't more passionate and genuine to play as someone you are truly comfortable to portray?
@karrenhviannjaranilla67934 жыл бұрын
I can see why they had to release a statement on not doing BL. If it was me, I’d rather not hear anything like that from them since they are free to do what they want like Tay and New and even MaxTul. I don’t know about the fujoshis but BL for me is one of those things that entertain me while I learn about Thai culture. I force myself to consume content that is trendy in other countries like UK and US reality shows and Chinese period dramas so it is ok for me to watch them acting as heteros because most, if not all, BL actors are straight. I will be supporting them no matter what but the statement is unnecessary although this might have given delulu fans a closure.

I love how the one reason why I, a gay guy, can even watch all these series is because quite a few girls are fetishising us gay people is honestly a bit weird. And I get mad angry when girls I barely know come to me and either ask me if I'm "a top or a bottom" or just determine it themselves just because they either watch BLs or read a lot of Yaoi, like honey, if you're a straight girl and not my best friend, it's none of your business Live and let live, but fetishising a sexual orientation is on another level, right?

I completely agree with you about women asking insanely personal questions. Unfortunately when it comes to finding media that mirrors my existence it's so very limited. @luciparadise67814 жыл бұрын
Marc That is absolutely insane. I blame social media for most of this kind of obnoxious behavior. With so much over sharing, people just believe they are entitled to the most personal of information. I'm sad to hear you have to put up with that.

Holy crap, they actually do that?? I thought that was just something I saw on TV🤯😓 I’m sorry that you (and others with the same experiences) have to deal with that - no one deserves to have that happen to them😕
@charlottesmom4 жыл бұрын
Exactly, it is NONE of their business....why would anyone think it was okay to ask you that personal of a question. Class-less floozies! 😡 I think some of the young ones have no clue that there is such a thing as over sharing due to social media and the drive to make everything public....I do think some BL's (and even strait dramas) feed the "everything goes/nothing is sacred" mentality. I was watching the first episode of Why R U yesterday and I saw two disturbing scenes. Two girls who were fawning over the main character Zon because they thought he was in a relationship with another male, they were all out fangirling just out of the blue, who the hell would do that? The other scene was Zon's sister writing a BL story about her BROTHER....that has to cross about 50 ewwwwwwww lines. Even if it was strait it would cross those same 50 lines, writing about a sibling like that, I hope no one does that IRL. These shows allow the line crossing (respecting the privacy of others) so teen and early 20 girls have no issue crossing the same lines. Don't get me wrong I love Dramas and BL dramas have wormed their way into my heart but some of them just seem to be feeding the poor behavior of some fans. Most fans can keep the fantasy/reality line clear but some it seems just can't. Thus girls asking very personal questions when they should zip it and mind their own business.

This is the thing, yes they have the right to do all kinds of roles, but for me it is like they take advantage of the fact that the bl Is now a big thing and its trendy and the fujoshis community and gay community is very big, so they take these roles to make themselfs known to win fame and followers and then they leave this and do not want to be related to these projects, for example 2moons GOD he made this series and separated from this project and his colleagues and then saw that the series he was doing were not successful and that 2moons2 was very successful, then it started to appear with bass and look for how to relate to this again, let's accept it are just actors , yes some of them are maybe bi or gay but most of them are straight , some of them use this shows because they feel good with that and think that this can make a difference but most of them make it just to be known ,so we should not fall in love with them, or with their false relationships with their partners , we must fall in love with the characters that's it .

So no one's going to talk about how almost all bl series are overdoing the gay? Like "overgaying" the story and make like 100 couples in 1 series? For me i love some of the main characters plot but what ruins it for me is the fact that they tend to make all the characters gay... They should've just focus on 1 gay characters and just make other characters the supporting characters... I know it's a tv series but please give it a little bit of reality. But again this Thai Bl industry is as shallow as the kpop industry anyway... Too focused on physical attractiveness... Who wins in the end are those straight actors anyway ...
