Half way through maternity leave, the routine is in, their bond has formed, heres how things have changed / developed over the last 3 months between our pets and our newborn baby.

Actually, Milo seems also very friendly to the baby, but cats express themselves differently. You can see that it likes to spend time with baby, lays close to her, etc.

You guys did the perfect thing, slowly introducing the kids to the baby. I will never understand someone that gets rid of their pets just because they get pregnant or have a baby.

That’s how I ended up with my dog. He’s a Bully and his owners gave him up because the wife was pregnant and she didn’t want to deal with him. A year after we got him I ended up pregnant and when I got further along I could feel my dogs anxiety. But now we have a baby and our big boy and they get along great. He’s a great big brother.

@The Slavic World of Weles from Navia - actually you're wrong. The World Health Organisation published the definition below: " Epidemic is a term that is often broadly used to describe any problem that has grown out of control. An epidemic is defined as "an outbreak of a disease that occurs over a wide geographic area and affects an exceptionally high proportion of the population. " An epidemic is an event in which a disease is actively spreading. In contrast, the term pandemic relates to geographic spread and is used to describe a disease that affects a whole country or the entire world. " The coronavirus started out as epidemic in China, but when it spread to other countries, it became pandemic. Please get your facts straight OK. We're all in this together.

the part where she kicked the dog reminded me of a story I was told of when I was a baby. my grandparents had a dog who was mean to most people, especially in her older age at least. she lived to be about 20 i think and she was 18 or 19 when i came around. but after i was born she would lay at my feet and i would end up kicking her a lot. but she just took it and never snapped at me. and both my parents and grandparents knew it hurt her a lot since she had aches and such with her age. it's pretty amazing sometimes how dogs will behave around infants.

We had a malamute and he would gently gather up any toddlers or little kids that he came across, curl himself around them and not let anybody near them, including the parents. @Pointlesspeach4 жыл бұрын
kiarimarie it’s not really unusual, it’s just that some cats are very wary of humans, or trust only one human/their families, and some cats love everyone, like most dogs. Cats just take a bit longer to trust you and fall in love with you, and a lot of people aren’t patient enough to wait for that haha which annoys the cat.
