Actually you can buy plastic BBs for a BB gun (or Air gun) and use it in Airsoft. The main difference is the caliber. Airsoft is 6mm, while Air guns are 4.5mm. So just buy some 4.5mm plastic BBs and you can use your Air guns in Airsoft. Had a friend that did this

I have never owned a air soft gun but I am a big fan of real guns and bb, pellet guns I have a lot of them I have over 30 BB guns like rifles and pistols and there are many big differences plus BB guns are way dangerous and to me are cooler because they are really able to kill like Rodan and maybe even people so it’s just a good as a real gun but more for younger adults or teens

Well actually the difference I heard is that airsoft gun are pellets used for shooting at each other for fun but BB guns are actually lethal pellets which can injure or cause death to someone depending on the strength of the gun and speed of the pellet well I think airsoft are literally the same and can also injure but I’m severe cases could cause death

You totally missed the main point! Yes, both use spherical projectiles (BBs) and yes, BBguns tend to us metal BBs while airsoft mainly uses plastic... BUT the main differences are caliber and power. BBguns most times are 4,5mm while airsoft is 6mm (besides some in 8mm) and BBguns, because of their intended use, are often way more powerful than airsoft guns (which still need to be kinda safe to shoot at each other). So PLEASE dont tell your kid audience that BBguns and airsoft are basically the same. Next thing you know they will show up at local events and start shooting each other with BBguns 🤦🏼‍♂️
