Birkenstocks Birkenstocks Birkenstocks. Where for out thou Birkenstocks? It is the Arizona and the others are the Bostons. Idk. I got these Birkenstocks in the real leather (not Birkenbuck) and I love them! You should watch the review though. I honestly have no idea what to type here. Birks? These are Birks. Sandals.

For me, the eva foam sole wore out before the footbed but you can just have it replaced by a decent cobbler for a fraction of the cost of new Birkenstocks.

I just got the Arizona Birkenstocks, and they’re worth the hype. I never thought in a million years that I’d be wearing Birkenstocks, but they’re great for when I’m in Florida visiting family.

They ARE like a boot (a good one, anyway), in that they can be resoled and repaired and worn for many years. I bought my first pair when I was pregnant with my son, who is now 30, and they just got officially retired the last few years. The break-in period is the hard part for me, but once you make them your friends, they are pretty wonderful.

Doing a Wolverine review soon! Red Wings to come in the future but I LOVE iron rangers, I really want to pick them up soon. Moc toes are also a classic but I find them super chunky for my silhouette. I think roughout IR’s are my next boot.

Well worth buying the cork sealant. Over time, the cork gets dry and crumbly, and falls out in small bits. If you find Arizonas too loose, consider getting the model with the back strap (Milano). Oh, and yes to Birks with socks! : )

Thank you for the good review. I have been debating about getting something. Finally need a long term solution for stuff to wear around the house and other places. I have a high arch so the arch really doesn't bother me when I try them on in the store. I do notice this anti pronation feel. Like the side of my heel is getting pushed in a bit when I walk. Has a strange sensation like its trying to change my gait which I guess concerns me a bit. I have read a lot about people feet hurting for a week but I am more concerned if its changes my gait and effect my knees or something higher up. Thank you. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Have you figured out any solutions? I have the same exact feeling with the EVA versions and just figured my flat feet weren't meshing well with the shoe. By the time I took the shoes off, my "arch" area was so sore to the point I could tell I would get blisters.

If you have to add an extra hole in the straps you end up with too much strap protruding through the buckle. Top tip: cut off about an inch, then use the end you’ve cut off as a template - draw around it on the cut end of the strap and cut along the lines to contour/round off the new ends.

Do you have any advice for keeping them clean? Usually with sandals I just wash them off in the shower since they dry really fast, but these are cork. Is leather cleaner recommended, or should I just periodically wipe them with a paper towel or something?

I remember hearing somewhere that the footbeds are made of cork and silicon, which forms to your foot because of heat from friction.

Hey just wanted to mention that crotch blowouts happen because of abrasion (so a tighter fit) and because dirt weakens the cotton over time. So when people complain about their 300 dollar iron hearts being outlasted by 30 dollar wranglers, its probably because they chuck their wranglers in the wash twice a week and never washed their iron hearts. (Sorry for the paragraph, but i think you asked about crotch blowouts in the 501 update video)

This was a good review you did. I have 4 pairs of Birkenstocks first one is the Black Suede soft bed Arizona ,#2 black leather Milano's ,#3 soft bed mocha Arizona ,#4 black Eva Arizona. I love the breaker stops because I have big very very wide feet sz15 6 EEEEEE with very fat wide toe that is equally straight across making it for a very very wide foot. My foot is 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my little toe. The only problem I have is both of my little toes hang off the footbed of the sandal but that's because of my foot being so wide with fat wide toes. If my toes were at a 45 degree angle instead of being straight across it will fit in the sandal a lot better. There's no shoe , sock , or boot that will fit my wide foot. Birkenstocks and flip-flops is the only thing that will fit my foot which I can barely fit into my flip-flops because my toes are wider than the flip flop straps. It's so hard to find a sandal that will fit a wide foot like this this is why I love Birkenstocks I can keep getting them resoled and never have to worry about finding a sandals that will fit my foot with fat wide toes. Man just be happy you don't have fat wide toes. I wish I could wear my Birkenstocks with socks but I have to wear them barefooted 👣 in the winter time in 20 and 30 degrees temperature because there's no socks that's wide enough for my foot.

I know of a Birkenstock shopper in Berlin that owned equity under L Chatterton that privately manages the now publicly listed BIRK. She asked me if I was interested in getting shares early so as to earn a carry when they float the company.

I have used the same money manager for close to 10 years. We got in fairly early with a modest amount of money. Then it mushroomed like an atomic bomb. We had over 4 million dollars after GameStop profits in 2020/2021. Inflation has eaten away at the nest egg but we are lucky to have Loren look after it diligently like she has done the past 8 years.

My Arizonas lasted 13 years, 3 re-soleings, and 2 motorcycles. Call me crazy, but they make great motorcycle shoes. Don't wear them with socks. Gentlemen, take care of you feet - really. Everyone appreciates clean, fresh feet. Clean them often as they get older.

Bought mine ~2 years ago... was about to Kijiji them after hardly using this summer. Wore them tons first year, and they do get remarkably personalized once the cork forms to your foot, but I started feeling similar to you regarding sandals in general... little limitations with what you can do (for example, I don't want to bike with exposed feet) and more often than not I'd rather wear shoes to get to wherever I'm going (where socks and shoes come off once I get to the beach/dock/pool etc.) When I do wear them its around the house, in the backyard, walking around the neighbourhood... almost always with wool socks, and honestly - they do that so well that your balanced review has convinced me to keep them for that. They feel like a unique footwear experience... and I like that.

You can get enclosed birks. No need to only have sandal versions. You can also get birk insoles to add into other, less comfy shoes

Very informative and helpful review. Maybe the narrow size will work better for you. They are identifiable by the solid foot logo rather than the outline logo.

I bought my 2nd pair of Arizonas two weeks ago. The pair they replaced were purchased in 2003 (17 years!). 🤭 I just loved them so much, I kept repairing them with rubber cement and later with Shoe Goo. To be fair, I used them a lot less for some period, as they kinda went out of style and then back again.

If you protect it from water. Water can easily ruin the footbed and the suede lining.

True, and once the sole wear out or if the cork gets bad, you send it to them for repair. I have a pair that used to be my sister's since 2001 sent them to repair only once

I just had to send back some dr.martens sandals because they did not really fit, so I had a mental breakdown because I wanted them to be cool and…yeah I also have the same pair of Birkenstock in the vid but wear them only in the house and since I do not have others at the moment for sommer I try them in the outdoors. And the straps are driving me crazy I actually needed holes like right between 2 holes. But I have to fall in love with them again and call them my sommer shoes. The footbed I walked already in at home!

There is a whole industry of cobblers of repair Birkenstocks, because owners prefer to repair than to get a new pair (main advantages is no breaking in, plus possibly cost savings). I’ve heard of people owning the same pair of Birkenstocks for decades, though by then they’ve surely replaced the soles, at least, and possibly the leather straps; so usually only the footbed is kept the same, but that could be a good enough reason to keep the same pair.

I bought a pair of Birkenstock sandals with the toe thong and oh my goodness they are so uncomfortable. The sole gave me blisters, but I will persevere with them even though at the moment they fell torturous.

The break-in period is the worst. You wonder-- did I spend $200 bucks for this??? But take the time to follow some of the break-in tutorials and make them your friends. They become so personalized and comfortable.

You need to loosen the straps by one hole each. Birks need to fit loosely. The hols comes fome your toes grabbing that toe bar.

You have to size these down so hard. You want your toes right up to the front I usually wear 9’s in every other shoe and I get either 7 or 7 1/2’s for birks, I’ve had mine for over 2 years! Even wore them on a commercial fishing vessel in Alaska! Great shoes! I’m getting the same ones again so that should say something! Quick Tip to break them in a little quicker is get them a little wet and walk around in them barefoot for a while (I took mine to the beach and walked in the ocean) don’t get them wet that often though only like one time on purpose but it’s fine if you get them wet more just try not to, good shoes they’ll last a while! So easy and convenient to slip on

Best shoes made have their shoes and sandals literally several each...have 5 pr out for rebuilding,they are worth fixing and keep using..Best stuff made..get them fixed by an authorized birkenstock repair guy. I found one online they are in for rebuild now whilst I use my other shoes and Birk sandals

The Eva is made from faulty plastic which splits on the inside toes and causes you to trip when you walk as the fold under you just after 5 months. The Birkenstock company workshop manager did not care.

I've had my Eva's for 6 months now and I wear them pretty much non stop (at home and outside) and I've not experienced anything you're mentioning. They still look great, albeit a little matte (I've spilled some harsh chemicals on them) and somewhat... Longer 😂 (I've just bought a new pair - to wear outside only - in the same size and the difference is noticeable). I own was also 3 leather pairs, but Eva's my fave. I like the all black look 😂

@@tanyaparker9676 so far so good! I've bought another pair of those a few days ago on sale, to wear just outside. I washed the old pair in the washing machine (good tip! I wouldn't have thought of doing that 😂) and they look better again. But they do get floppy. I've bought the same size now and they look a size smaller, which confused me at first 😂 good I went for narrow fit, cause I can only imagine how wide would regular ones get.

Great question! Can’t say for 100% certain but I would say no. Suede is generally bit more delicate. However I don’t think it’d be a problem for you as the straps would outlive the cork by a long shot anyways! My gf has suede strapped ones going on 4 years now and they are great

I found many knock offs. So I bought a real one, Milano, to compare. Definitely not worth the price. Knockoffs are just as good, even better and much cheaper. Good knockoffs are about 1/4 to 1/3 the price. Dirt cheap ones are to be avoided. High grade copies are made even neater than the real one. The suede and cork footbed interface were much better and cleanly aligned than my real one. Hand made vs machine made? I dunno.
