There Bible says, "REMEMBER THE SABBATH DAY TO KEEP IT HOLY" It wasn't SEVENTH DAY Adventist who said that, was it? This means that saying the SDA Church is a cult is just nonsense!!!

If you listened to the sermon, I did not say they were a cult because they celebrated the Sabbath I said they were a cult because they followed Ellen White a false prophet that introduced extra biblical teaching that conflicts with scripture.

Reality is, there is an excuse for every sin that anybody commits.. But there is no forgiveness for that sin... Jesus said "if" you love Me, keep my Commandments... So 10 Commandments are only for those that love Jesus.. Sabbath is included.. There are a lot of ten percent discount christians.... ( Only nine commandments are okay)

Dear @gelubalaban9637 Your comment exhibits that you apparently do not fully understand the plan of redemption as expressed in the Scriptures. It exhibit a superficial understanding of what is going on in Scripture. We live under grace, in the New Covenant. The Old Covenant has become obsolete and pasted away. DZ

@@Silverheart1956What was the difference between the Old and New Covenant?
@Silverheart1956
@Silverheart1956 Ай бұрын
Dear @7ashoBeam , Hello ! The Old Covenant was characterized by the Mosaic Law and is sometimes called the "Mosaic Covenant". This is the covenant that God made with he Israelites after he brought them out of Egypt. He gave them rules/laws to live by under that covenant. All humans had the Moral Law from the time of creation and that has not changed in the New Covenant; we also have God's Moral Law. Under the Mosaic Covenant God gave the Israelites, civil laws to rule Israel under a theocracy in which God was the ruler of the Nation. God also gave them ceremonial laws to celebrate events and that had significance in helping them understand the progress of redemption that was to eventually come to pass. Jesus lived under the Mosaic Law, being perfectly obedient to the Mosaic Law. This causes a bit of confusion because this means that the gospels, recording the life of Jesus was actually recording event that occurred under the Old Covenant, so essentially the four Gospels are actually recording events that should be considered in the Old Testament. The New Testament (minus the Gospels) is a record of events and teachings that are in line with the New Covenant. The New Covenant began at Pentecost, after the death burial, resurrection and ascension of Jesus. These events fulfilled the Mosaic Law making it obsolete (Heb. 8:13) and coming to an end (2 Cor. 3:7,11) and it gave way to a new, better covenant (Heb. 8:6-7). This is why the Temple veil was split at the death of Jesus (Matt. 27:51). Under the New Covenant, Jesus is our only High Priest, and God now dwells in us, instead of in a Temple made by human hands. We are now the Holy of Holies with the Holy Spirit indwelling us. God has given us in the New Covenant, new ceremonial observances (Baptism, communion in the Lords Supper). In God's New Covenant Kingdom, God rules in our hearts instead of an earthly nation. There is so much more to this and these are some the foundational concepts of which Christianity is built upon. Has your church failed to teach you some of these basics principles of Christianity ? I would urge you to study the New Covenant Scriptures (the Book of Acts and onward) to learn about the covenant God has given to Christians. Be Well, DZ

Dear @gelubalaban9637. Hello ! If you believe in the idea that "If ye love me, keep my commandments", as stated in John 14:15, and you understand that the Scriptures commands that the transgression of homosexuality be punished by execution, then do you love Jesus enough to keep his commandment of executing homosexuals as Scripture commands ? Do you keep His commandment to offer animal sacrifices as specified by the Scriptures (Leviticus 4:35, 5:10). If you or your church does not follow this commandment given in Scripture, does that indicate that you and your church do not love Jesus ? And refuse to obey the commands of Jesus ? I am going to make an assumption (correct me if I am mistaken) that you, and/or your church, does not execute homosexuals, or the priests of your church does not offer animal sacrifices at your church. So It appears that you pick and chose which commandments that you like, to follow and chose other commandments that you do not like, to refuse to follow. Please explain this apparent inconsistency. I look forward to your explanation, Be Well, DZ

But Christians changed their worship to Sunday in Acts, the day of resurrection, the new era. No mention of OT rules for Sabbath in the Epistles - the earliest Christian churches. Christians are not made for the Sabbath. We are not saved by grace alone to put ourselves under the law again. The purpose of the law is to reveal to us our sins and our need for God's forgiveness through Christ.

Jhn 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. Mat 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Mat 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Mat 15:3 But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your TRADITION? Mat 15:8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. Mat 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the COMMANDMENTS OF MEN! Mat 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS. Mrk 7:7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the COMMANDMENTS OF MEN. Mrk 7:8 For laying aside the COMMANDMENTS OF GOD, ye hold the TRADITION OF MEN, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. Mrk 7:13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye. Jhn 14:21 He that hath my COMMANDMENTS, AND KEEPETH THEM, he it is that LOVETH ME: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. 1Jn 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 1Jn 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. Col 2:16 is not talking about the seventh day sabbath my friend it’s talking about feast days that’s why it mentions meat and drink. At this particular time the new Christian converts were being judged because some were not keeping the feast days and some were that’s why Paul said let no one judge you according to these holydays / feast days. It’s very obvious that Jesus expected his people to keep the sabbath that’s why he said in Mat 24:20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: Here Jesus was talking about the destruction of Jerusalem on 70a.d. Which was 40 years after Jesus was crucified. How is it that we will keep the sabbath in heaven but not here on earth: Isa 66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD. Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. God bless

The Sabbath Day is one of the 10 not justified in the NT. Christian in Acts moved their worship day to Sunday to be not seen as a cult of the Jews. There are no set rules to be observed for Sunday as for the Sabbath such as how many steps one may take on special day. Jesus and disciples walked some distance one Sabbath and even picked fruit to eat. The only rule seems to be not to miss worship as many seemed to. St. Paul wrote, "There are some who want to observe one day special (Probably some Jewish Christians) and others treat everyday the same. Be at peace with one another." As Christians were no longer required to eat Kosher, observe new moons or special Sabbaths, which were part of the "jot and tittle" of the law Jesus spoke of, as well as other matters, the major matter concerning the OT Law was that obedience to it would not save anyone unto God, "For all have sinned and fallen short of God's glory and no human is righteous, no, not one except the one who did obey it perfectly, Jesus, to fulfill it for God's elect in order that he would present himself as the perfect sacrifice on the cross for the world's sins - the "Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world." No Saint, not even the Virgin Mary, or spiritual person was sinless as they inherited from their parents original sin and fulfilled it with their own actions. They could never be the perfect sacrifice for their own sins much less others. Matthew's Gospel was written to Jewish folks. The other 3 had a Gentile orientation. All were written years after Jesus returned to heaven and reveal a number of sources. Jesus was speaking to Jews when he said "Not a jot or tittle of the law shall ever pass." The same crowd he spoke to about the tithe, the 10%. None of the Epistles mention it as a rule for offerings. Christians were called to be "Generous givers" and give from their own need. No percentages mentioned in the early church. Only legalistic churches require it! Grace ultimately means the generosity of God to the underserving and why Christians use for their guide this nature of God. Only grace saves us and gives to us the gift of faith in His Son.

@@paulnulton6424 Note: The Sabbath is not about what day one worships God on. Human beings are to worship God every day. The Sabbath has nothing to do with going to synagogue of going to church. I agree, the Sabbath observance is not a requirement of New Covenant Christians. It is an option, but not a requirement. Be Well, DZ

Dear LRR73, Hello ! The Bible says, "If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them. (Lev. 20:13) The Bible also says, "If ye love me, keep my commandments". (John 14:15) Do you love him enough to keep His commandments ? Be Well, DZ

@@Silverheart1956 what does lev 20:13 have to do with me? I’ve been married to the same women for nearly 30 years, and I love her more today then 30 years ago! You ask me if I keep his commandments, I say yes, I do my best not to transgress his law but I am human and I do make mistakes but that’s why Jesus is my mediator. When I sin I take it to God in prayer. Do you keep his commandments DZ? Even the 4th commandment or do you make void the 4th?

Dear@@LRR73 Hello ! Most would grasp the point, but I will explain the issue to you. If you believe in the idea that "If ye love me, keep my commandments", as stated in John 14:15, and you understand that the Scriptures command that the transgression of homosexuality should be punished by execution, then do you love Jesus enough to keep his commandment of executing homosexuals as Scripture commands ? If you or your church does not follow this commandment as given in Scripture, does that indicate that you and your church do not love Jesus ? And refuse to obey the commands of Jesus ? I am going to make an assumption (correct me if I am mistaken) that you, and/or your church, does not execute homosexuals or your priest does not offer animal sacrifices at your church. How does Mat 5:19, Mat 15:3, 8, 9, etc. relate to this issue ? I look forward to your explanation, Be Well, DZ
