Bro nobody’s hating him by telling the truth. 4-8 is still a losing season, and the depth chart at Colorado flips like crazy. How do you build a team, culture, and consistent program when half the team is leaving every year.

Yeah I’m a hater. I hate where college football is going. Coddled athletes that don’t like to compete can chase NIL $$$ and not accomplish a thing in the field. (I’m all for players getting paid, but college football is ridiculous now). I hate when teams can’t tackle or block because coaches like Deion are trying to transform the great game of football into 7on7. I hate attention seekers who use the media for hype and garner attention for their own personal gain. I hate hollow predictions and fake catch phrases ( we comin, Louis Liggage…blah blah). I hate viral social media buzz for no reason. And most of all….i hate daddy ball. Daddy ball sucks. It always ruins any sport! 😮😂😅 Yeah so call me a hater. And CU is a rival program….so hating is what makes this so much fun. Why don’t you go watch soccer!!!! ⚽️

The highest turnover rate for any program the second year in a row. How do you build a team let alone a team that can consistently win games if more than half the team is leaving every year. How do you build a culture of winning win the majority of the talent being brought in are 3 ⭐️ athletes. Colorado is not recruiting high school athletes and developing them into D1 players. They’re going after D1 second string athletes, and aren’t retaining the talent they have.

What, where has Coach Prime been struggling, lol. He was in Year 1, taking over a 1 win team that averaged losses of 32 points a game. That team was atrocious. So they finished with 4 Wins, and Loss 6 of his games by 3 points or fewer. That was an huge upgrade all across the board. These statements are just stupid, with no educated response.

The story was one year too late. He was not talking about the kid. This is the new ERA of college Football. Its all CAP for some of these so-called content creators. Matt is spot on about the louder programs in the 90's - they were in your face without social media, but they won games and championships. Deion is all flash and hasn't won anything. Sure going from 1-11 to 4-8 is an improvement, but when you embarrass yourself on national television (Exhibit A: the Stanford game) there's no more excuses. If you're going to talk smack like he did at Florida State, you better win.

The Athletic wrote a hit piece because they don’t like Uppity Black Head Football coaches that adapted to the new reality (portal) of college football. If The Athletic wanted to write a piece on the effects of the portal they would have covered other programs and players. They didn’t because it was a hit piece. Should have Deion taken the high road, yes… can you fault him for defending himself. Lesson is The Athletic manipulated players to get the soundbites they wanted to cobble their piece together. Prime inherited a really, really, really bad 1-11 team. They got better with Dec ‘22 Portal, better with the Spring ‘23 Portal and went 4-8. They lost 6 games by a score or less, in a very good PAC12 (2 teams finish ranked in the top 6 end of season rankings). They then get better in Dec ‘23 portal and as of to date better with the Spring ‘24 Portal. The core of the teams has now had a year together, they’ve used the portal to plug holes, fill out the two deep. Who doesn’t think the Buffs will be better this coming year? The comparable is what Jedd Fisch accomplished at Arizona. He inherited a program that lost 12 games straight. He went 1-11 in ‘21, 5-7 in ‘22 and 10-2 in ‘23. He was praised by what he accomplished in his tenure at Arizona. Deion, has already outperformed him in year 1. I have the Buffs winning 8 games in year which would be outperforming Fisch again. The reality is The Buffs won’t get any credit as social media and the media have created the perfect us against them model to drive clicks and ratings. I like watching this Buffs team it’s interesting to see if Deion is going to outfox the smartest people in the room (talking head media that have lambasted him).
