In this Clip we demonstrate in virtual terms the effect of having a Dust suppression system fitted in your caravan. Dust suppression systems are designed to positively pressurize your caravans interior cabin space more than the pressure externally whilst in transit. The theory behind this is any areas which would normally form a low pressure vice, such as your door vent, Range-hood vent, AC unit ventilation or hatches/windows, will now have air flowing out from the pressure inside the vehicle being greater than the external pressure, thus preventing any of these common areas from “leaking dust”.
Some critics of these systems say if a caravan is constructed properly there is no need for these systems, and whilst We can understand these statements, the reality is due to regulation & design - there are just some things that manufacturers of caravans can’t avoid, such as the gas ventilation regulations, your AC unit is a passive system that can not be blocked, the design of some roof hatches and window systems etc. Does a Unit such as a Carafan CP700 make your van Dust proof? No, but it goes a long way to prevention and mitigation and is a worthwhile insurance policy with the fight against the war on dust!
