Ellen & Zhu Yuan are our first limited event banner characters for the full launch of Zenless Zone Zero... which releases TODAY! I am so unbelievably excited, so we had to answer the question: are they worth pulling?
Today, we will analyze what makes Ellen and Zhu Yuan so strong, and see if they are valuable to pull! In fact, we can even determine this with a F2P mindset! Let me know what you think of these two, as well as Zenless Zone Zero!

Qingyi just got drip marketed and the leaks says shes a stunner, which would be insane for Zhu Yuan since she relies on stun for her damage, plus youll proc the faction buff and the attribute buff if you use nicole with her

@@SILVERWOLF6600 Besides, there's a trend on hoyo games where all the first version banners later on become REALLY powercrept or even borderline useless, Ellen might seem really good, but it can also become an investment trap in the long run

I got Lycaon ,Soukaku and Grace. Should I get Ellen or Zhu Yuan or would it be better to save due to power creep?

For that , Ellen is the pick tbh. The best team in the game right now is Ellen Lycaon and Soukaku. Don't worry about power creep for a loooong time. Hoyo has been doing a good job of preventing it 🙏

Amazing video I am saving everything for miyabi banner because I want to make sure I have enough summons for her just in case I lose my 50/50 on her I will still have enough saved summons to pull until I get her don't know when her banner going to be out so until then I will save up for her and by the way you got a new subscriber 🎉😊

May just save up until a good shared faction character with Soldier 11 comes out. Hopefully a defensive or Anomoly based chatacter

@@sousukeaizen1299 you should at the very least get to pity once, but you would have to put the time in for sure. After a couple hours I'm sitting at 45 pulls or so

You surely can, you are very likely to get over 100 pulls before lv 30 if you levelled up clearing quests and dailies, and to me that game seems to have a soft pity between 40-50 pulls, which is where I got my S ranks. For more pulls, you need to always read whatever have "new" on it, since usually reading that stuff give you rewards (you actually don't need to read all of them, just open for example the tabs with hollow related achievements/investigations and claim/close them).

Lost my 50/50 and now have cinema 1 (idk what dupes are called in this game) Nekomata so I'm saving for Zhu Yuan. The fact she does ether damage means I get to use Nicole with her so I'm definitely pulling.

update: i was building pity on the banner. I was 70 pity on the character and i was building pity on the w engine. After 20 pulls i got the Swengine. So now, i got ellen and her swengine

tbh the agents dont really matter much cus all the dmg came from the type and dics you have AKA mosly skill based unlesssss they realese a agent that is basically gamebroken mechanic so i mainly just pull for the character design

Yeah, but we're gonna wait a WHILE for her, as I believe she's also an ice Attack unit, and they wouldn't put her near Ellen.. Unless they turned her into Anomaly character, but I really, really doubt it

Since my standard banner pulls where rina and a f***ing nekomata engine I need a solid or top tier dps and tbh I was going for Zhu either way I mean hopefully she gets the same bonus as her trial in the story for her core skill where u can use any support to get her crit rate bonus since that could make her more versatile and maybe hold a second dps slot later in time but idk just making ideas up if that where to stay but mainly go for her since I like her play style and find her fun it is a bonus she is f2p friendly since I basically have a perfect f2p team line up ready for her with anby and Nicole and I already went and got resonaboo which I just call a mini Nicole with its black hole ability and I’m just going to slot rina in my 2nd team with Anton and I guess Seth who is leaked since he is electric they may not synergy well together idk that but unless I get grace or go for Qingyi to move anby to the 2nd team it’s going to have to do for to use the full effect of rina’s electric damage bonus. Probs f’d something up in this comment since I didn’t realise it was so long just been yapping 😭😭😭

All good lol. zhu Yuan is going to be amazing, and that core passive and such should definitely be in when she's released in a couple weeks. My standard banners were S11 and lycaons w engine (BUT NO LYCAON 😭). ZY does have a sick play style tho with those mode changes and such. You got this 🙏 I believe !

@@GachaMogul that’s unfortunate still pretty solid W-engine I think since Atleast u can use it on any stun unit while I can only use mine on corin 💀 even tho the crit rate main stat is nice I’ll probably get a physical dps some day but rn it’s probably not going to be used unless I play corin with rina which I might and thanks I saved a lot so should have a good chance of getting Zhu also hoping to get 2 more copies of Nicole to get her c4 for the bigger energy field but c6 would be amazing for the crit rate bonus to the whole squad

Ellen is the quintessential dps. Zhu Yuan's damage will be mediocre in comparison. Simply becuase the effect of ice is so much better that corruption. But I'm no meta slave so I'll go for Zhu Yuan.

Exactly! My current plan is to go all out on ZY banner. Since it seems Nicole and Ben are on the banner as well, really good to get Ben's w engine for my fire team, and Nicole being zhu yuan's best partner atm

I honestly dont understand why everyone recommend Ellen as if Lycaon is available for free. Theres no guaranteed way to pull him apart from the 300 pulls, and if you dont have him whos gonna replace him? Anby? She cant activate her passive. Also, they seem to be allergic to Nicole and glaze Soukaku.

For me since I got lycaon as my first s rank/5 star, I want to build an ice team asap so ellen is a must pulI for me, have my soukaku at c4 as I'm writing this (just started chap 2). Plus ellen is cuteee!!

Nice guide, but why should i even care. For all of my extensive playtime just pushing one button and switching characters on time is more than enough to beat every "challenge". I dont see the need to pull characters at all or even read into the different game mechanics.
