I was baptized and I back slid all the way down to where I do not want to do anything I do not want a job I do not want go out I basically I isolated myself from the world the church my family my friends. It’s to the point where in my heart I don’t feel anything. Sin has taken control of me and I don’t know how to break free. PLEASE SOMEBODY SAVE ME IM LOSING MY MIND! I DO NOT WANT TO LOSE MY LOVE OF CHRIST JESUS! I’m saying this throw here because I’m afraid to say it in person!

Go before the Lord and be brutally honest. Tell him of your lack of desire. Tell him the sin you have committed. Tell every thought and deed that is driving you mad. He already knows. He wants you to come to him because he loves you. Read Romans 3 and 4. You are justified because of Christ. That does not change because you sin. Go to the Lord. Read Luke 15. That is the story of the prodigal son. Sin is serious, and we are told to be holy. That’s why Jesus had to die such a death. God the Father poured out his wrath on Jesus. There is no more left for you. Go to your Heavenly Father and confess. He is waiting. He will restore you.

I believe that there is a different reward for each good thing you do. There is a reward for getting someone saved and a reward for sexual morality.

Very interesting. Not to say there isn't anything else referred to as a reward in heaven, but when I ponder what treasures WE are capable of storing/laying up in heaven, the only treasure I can think of is people. We can't take anything else with us but making our lives about the spreading the gospel and building each other up shows we treasure each other beyond the limits of our earthly resources. The people we come to know and love are infinitely more valuable treasures to have in heaven than anything else in this world. I would think the more people are about the business of the kingdom, the more we come into contact with and invest in people we may see again. If the inheritance is eternal life in heaven (a fixed thing) then treasured relationships with other Christians we meet again would not be a fixed quantity. No one will be lonely in heaven, but some will be reunited with more people than others, right?

Hello I think maybe Luke 19 parable of the nobleman will help Those who receive the inheritance, to rule with Messiah when he comes back, are given different degrees right Take charge of ten cities Take charge of five cities The inheritance is the authority and ruling with Christ The specifics of individuals tasks may be reward related? I like the idea that some of our generosity is because our “wealth” or “riches” is not earthly money but rewards and treasures from God What is Christ’s inheritance? Believers are fellow heirs with Christ So we have to see what is Christ’s inheritance Believers are heirs to the promise of Abraham The promise to inherit the world (earth) We are co-heirs with Jesus the Messiah Immorality and the nations Ruling the nations with Christ The new creation “Leaving this world and going somewhere else” sounds like Plato

Greatly misunderstood topic. It can be dangerously misinterpreted. Generousity for treasures in heaven is not the generous heart God wants. Biblically and logically (in the light of the known characteristics and promises of God) it makes 0 sense that christians will be rewarded eternally different in heaven (even though I personally would think that and feel like many other christians deserve greatly more than I do).

I see what you're saying and partially agree with you. We need to ask God for wisdom in applying His word. But we should be careful of "throwing away the baby along with the bath water". Take for instance 1 Corinthians 13:3 - If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. A works mindset is never pleasing to God but rather a faith which leads to good works heart. I read it in light of Hebrews 11:6 - And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. The heroes of the faith in Hebrews were commended by God and He has prepared a city for them. We need a close personal relationship with Christ so that we can effectively use our gifts and be rewarded eternally. Now that Ministry would still involve the widows, the orphans, the poor and other imperatives in Scripture. But how God will use us individually and as a church as He has already prepared our walk based on Eph 2:10 with the help of the Holy Spirit would be unique to our calling in Christ.

@@adebayoiyanda7401 yes brother. Its not an easy topic at all. But as you said, I think its clear God put every single christian in their Position and gave them a unique purpose as part of the great body of christ. God will aid us in fulfilling our purpose and doing good. Thats partly the reason I think he wont give anyone something greater or lesser in heaven. We are all brethren and are all loved with exactly the same love

Think about if someone important told you how much your actions have meant to them. You are blessed when you do good to them and they are grateful to you for it. It would be cold and calloused if their appreciation meant nothing to you. It is not selfish to want to receive their appreciation. It's a good motivator to treat them well. Why is it any different with God? God is not cold and unfeeling. He is pleased by good actions done with a right heart. It would be wrong to have no desire to be pleasing to God and receive praise from Him. This is a good motivation as well to do good. If we're able to do good to those who won't love us or return the favor, then we can treasure in our heart the sure hope of God's pleasure with us. He loves such things. And being excited and hopeful about that, we are compelled to action, because great is our reward with Him, which is His praise, "well done good and faithful servant." And the more we have care over those people who will not make returns to us in this life, and not seek praise in this life, the more we can expect praise and reward from our Father in heaven. This causes us to be more generous, because we choose receiving from God over receiving something in return from those we're being generous to. We are not independent beings who are self sufficient like God is. We are God sufficient. It's good that we rely on God as a rewarder for doing good because that glorifies Him. It's better to be motivated by that than to do good for nothing at all. "Let’s not become discouraged in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not become weary." Galatians 6:9

"Are Eternal Rewards and Inheritance the Same?" (Sorry for the VERY long "comment". But I believe it NEEDS to be espoused) Kind Sir...I don't believe it's the same...but however... I don't either believe the "rewards" in Heaven are different; because of our different "good deeds" on earth. That 80% of the Christian World; adamantly believes it's true. I say "HOGWASH"! And I believe Jesus proved that more than once. Praise His Holy Name! Plus "inheritances" were the "promise" of God to Moses 'circa 4,000; to preach to God's "Israelites". Where their inheritance was this: (paraphrasing) 1. "I will bless your seed to the end of the world!" 2. "And your seed will multiply: like the sand in the sea; and the stars in the sky"! 3. "And I will send your seed: to a Land 'Flowing with Milk and Honey'! Like NO others. ETC!" 4, Where your seed will have untold "blessings"; that NO other groups will ever have. 'Til the End of the world! And that is STILL in fruition. And will be there until the END of this world. However. and... Sadly, 99% of the "descendants" of Abraham; will NOT go to Heaven; even though they are the most blessed; since Creation. Because: they refused to believe IN and worship; the same God that Noah and Abraham did. And even worst: a quintessential "Abominable Sin"; where they refused to believe Jesus WAS their "Messiah"! How foolish! And Why? Romans 2:28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: Romans 2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God. Galatians 3:29 And if ye be Jesus', then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. Thus, WE (Born Again's) since Creation: are the ONLY "true" Jews; there will ever be. And "WE" (not them) will receive the "Inheritance" on a New earth; and a New Heaven; and a New Jerusalem; and a New Holy Temple, etc! Believe it or not. End of Story and I rest me case... ...In any case kind Sir, Please Pray OFTEN and Praise Jesus OFTEN; for He is the ONLY true "God Almighty"; there will ever have been. And may Jesus bless you and yours always. AMEN!

Heaven is not a reward for good people. Heaven is the free gift of God for whosoever believes in His son. Simply believe. We all know this verse. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Many believers get salvation confused. They believe salvation is a reward that they have to be good enough to receive. This leads many to never be secure in their salvation, never knowing if they’re truly saved, so they continue day after day relying on their good works, their deeds to save them. Ephesians 2:8-9 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. Of course, the problem with relying on your works to save you is that, what’s the standard that you need to reach to be saved? Do you repent of your sins 10 times a day or 20? Do you walk 10 old ladies across the street each day or 20? It doesn’t matter how many works you can do. The Bible is clear that none are righteous, and we’re all filthy sinners who can’t save ourselves. Only the precious blood of Jesus saves. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. The Bible says we are all as filthy rags, and that the only way to Heaven is through His son Jesus Christ. John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me.” Calvinism and Lordship Salvationists blend salvation (God’s free gift) with sanctification (Doing God’s will after you’re saved) so the lines get blurry. The Bible is clear. Step 1: Salvation is accepting God’s gift by simply believing in Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. It’s 100% the free gift of God. Once you’re saved you are sealed unto the day of redemption. You cannot lose it. You now hold your ticket to Heaven. John 10:28-29 - And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. Step 2: Sanctification- After you get saved you can receive rewards when you get to Heaven by doing God’s will. Things like soul winning, spreading the Gospel, dying to fleshly, worldly desires, etc. See, the Calvinists and Lordshippers want to confuse these 2 things and it results in people never being saved. They believe the unbiblical false teaching that salvation is the free gift of God + some type of work that you need to do to be saved. Salvation is free. If you’re adding works then salvation is not free. It can’t be both. Remember, salvation first (the free gift to go to Heaven), then sanctification (Rewards you work for that you’ll receive when you get to Heaven.) Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. John 6:47, KJV: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. John 3:36 “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” John 6:29 “Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the will of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.”

The free gift part of salvation is that God has caused His grace to abound to sinners. We all have past sins and are in need of those being dealt with in order to not be under condemnation. We simply believe, just as you said, to receive the grace of God "by faith." However, you can't take works completely out of the picture as a necessary component that comes in time. Works cannot earn grace, but they are a necessary part of our Christian life, or else we don't belong to God. You referred to John 3:16. You have to keep reading to get to verses 19-21. And this is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the Light; for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light, so that his deeds will not be exposed. But the one who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds will be revealed as having been performed in God.” John 3:19‭-‬21 For the gift to be free, it is only believed. But something happens, to the effect that the believer is now performing deeds in God, and wishes to come to God, rather than becoming distant from God because his deeds are evil. These deeds don't earn grace, but they are a necessary part that comes after we receive grace. The second passage you mention is in Ephesians 2. "For by grace you have been saved through faith... not of works." But then immediately after it says we are His workmanship, created for good works. Again, this is a necessary component. It doesn't come first. Works don't come first and earn salvation. It would be more accurate to say that grace comes first and leads us to works. Note the picture that this passage portrays, in verse 3 it says in the past tense, we lived in the lusts of the flesh as the rest of the world, but God saved us and prepared us for works. That is the full thought of Ephesians 2 verses 1 through 10. If you only isolate verses 8 and 9, then you don't get the fuller picture of what salvation is, where works are a necessary component even though they don't earn it. Trying to earn the favor of God is like putting the cart before the horse. We must be given the favor of God freely. But the horse is meant to pull the cart. We are meant to produce fruit by God's own work in us. And if we don't we are cut out of the vine and thrown into the fire(John 15). In the parable of the sower, all of the seed that fell in good soil produced fruit and received eternal life. Those two go hand in hand. I wonder what stops us from being eager for good works, as Titus 2:14 says. To please the Master and do all in view of hearing, "well done good and faithful servant."

To paraphrase the poet: The wheels of God’s millstones grind slowly, yet exceedingly fine. God glorifies Himself. When a country is thankful, He blesses. When a country mocks His very creation? Hah! Prepare the millstones, Piper. We are on the very cusp of being ground to powder. God will not be mocked. Counter intuitively, great comfort can be gleaned from knowing not even the slightest detail of our rebellion falls outside of God’s purview. (Which is a rather tortured way of saying your assertion that God wants to rain down blessings on us, at this point, is tone deaf. When this country rejected the God-honoring policies ofTrump, for Biden, we signed on to the most Satan-glorifying administration in history. Laugh if you will. The millstones await. The curses that are accruing will overwhelm.)
