Having only 30% of voters choose you is hardly a sweeping mandate, despite the number of seats they hold. The election results were less a win for the left, as they were a repudiation of Tories governing like they were a center-left party. There also is a lot of infighting within Labour, a truly misnamed party that does nothing for the British workingman. I highly doubt this government will last more than two years. Even in Israel a large amount of Jewish people are hateful to people in Israel and the west that are on the right.
