It used to be the government was there to help people but now they are there to control. As a former Republican official, I’ll say that the GOP is crooked, just not as crooked as the Democrats. There’s no such thing as government money. It’s either tax revenue or monetized debt (fed reserve buys treasury securities). Either way regular folks get screwed by taxes or by inflation.
