After a disappointing start to the 2024 season, AM Racing and Hailie Deegan officially parted ways this week. Are Deegan's days in NASCAR finished?
In this clip from PRN's Fast Talk, our panel discusses what led to Deegan leaving AM Racing amid a disapponting season in the Xfinity Series and what kind of opportunities she could get in the future.
The 22-year-old native of Temecula, California, had piloted the team’s No. 15 Ford entry for the first 17 races of the season, her rookie campaign, to an average finish of 26.8 with just four results of 20th or better. Deegan currently sits in 28th place in the season-long standings, dropping a spot after sitting out Saturday’s The Loop 110.
Deegan's departure felt inevitable when Joey Logano replaced her in the Chicago street race. But with such a huge following on social media, is there another path for Hailie Deegan in NASCAR or will she have to rethink her approach to racing stock cars? #NASCAR
Brad Gillie explains why Deegan's career was a surprise for him with her Truck Series struggles, while Doug Rice says having a successful female driver is important for NASCAR when it comes to attracting new fans.

This is Speculation but I heard that she might be interested in going to Indy! You know there are sometimes.more then one way to get where you want to be like I think her dream would be to get into NASCAR Cup Series so it will be very interesting so I have a few How about Hailie Deegan going to Rick Ware Racing, Haas Racing or maybe Indy for awhile that would be a different scenery!

hailie Deegan got what she deserves, had excellent ride and blew it, thinking her crap doesn't stink. That's what happens, when you think you're all that, and get a big head. She should stick to short track racing, witch She had been good at. No owner would EVER let a beautiful woman go in racing, unless it was deserved. Because of good press!.

I think Hailie needs to go back to ARCA and regroup, or if the finances allow, find a good Xfinity team that will work with her instead of against her, what I do know is that Rick Ware Racing has made an offer to purchase AM Racing at the end of this season and Cody Ware will be their driver in the Xfinity program. no word on what will happen to the Truck & ARCA program. All the sponsors on the #15 car belong to the team owner, they are his personal companies and the Klutch Vodka was added on sponsor and they only signed for 5 races, with AM Racing bringing in all these Cup drivers it's going to hurt them financially, they have pay each driver an appearance fee plus 40% of the purse money up to the playoffs. Then they have to find a driver for the playoff races. I really see AM Racing closing down their Xfinity program before the season ends.... Hailie will bounce back, I would love to see her race in a national late model dirt program.......

These comments are from people that apparently don’t understand what is involved in the racers development. That organization had no talent for development. Any of you guys know anything about the history of of development of current stars and their path through K& N series etc. and why lie about Logano comments on this video during the race advising the team o. What basic changes the car needed?

She can go NHRA she can try arca Whelen series. Alot of men drove for years and didn't win for decades 20th. 30thplace men for years. She can try truck. But I get it I understand it. Best of luck to her.

K&N West series, her on-track conduct angered Toyota and they dumped her from their racing program. The final straw was when she intentionally wrecked her own teammate, Derek Krause, to get the win for herself. Daddy Deegan begged Ford Motorsports to give her a 2nd chance opportunity. She's botched that too.

Yes , She's finished in NASCAR . I don't see a team desperate enough for marketing attention. Reality & the lack of performance set in & that's why she's no longer at AM racing..

She should try drag racing. Women aren't good at stock car type racing. They win championships in drag racing, Erica Enders and the Force girls to name a few.

Here is a solution, stop rushing her up the ladder when she is not ready, she was rushed to trucks and that nearly ruined her career and most definitely did a number on her confidence. They need to stop giving her rides she doesn’t deserve just because she is a woman. If she wasn’t a woman, she likely would’ve been fired from Ford in her second season, if not after her year with Thorsport.

@@ronbeaty6510 Of those three, only Joey really suffered for it. Though that may be more on JGR trying to make him fast in Tony Stewart's cars instead of making Joey cars. Seems they learned from that since Ty is fast and competing, and unfortunately he will win soon or later. Jeff competed almost immediately for wins and titles.
