When it comes to what it is to be worldly, isn’t it interesting how we have this tendency to come up with our own definitions of what is and what isn’t? We like to define worldliness in a way that doesn't touch us; that’s typically what happens. Yet if the truth be known, there is worldliness to some degree in every single person in this room - and some more than others. Yet not a single one of us is overly given to admitting it.

Здесь мы понимаем, что любое, тварное явление может стать для нас похотью, начиная с кофе, заканчивая перееданием. Павел пишет, что "нет ничего в себе самом нечистого". Богу нет дела до жертвоприношений тельцов и козлов и их крови, как и нет дела до компьютера, телефона, фильмов, лайков и т.д., но Ему есть дело до желаний нашего сердца. Бог борется не за то, чтобы отобрать у нас похотливые игрушки, но, чтобы забрать у нас похотливые желания, превышающие желание Его самого и Его святости.

In my 6ish months trying to follow the Lord, I've found some things that just naturally fell out of my life. Alot of the music I liked just didn't sit well with me anymore. I enjoyed satanic music, music that worshipped idols. I threw away those cds. Alot of the shows I enjoyed were just straight up blasphemous so I stopped watching those too. I enjoy video games still but they really don't have the importance they had. I really enjoyed this one game but had to flush it because the character has this recurring line that says "I am the way" it didn't sit right with me.
