I am agree with u that all indians are not good in mathematics but we can say it's in our DNA...The discover of 0 is an indian, we have so many legend mathematician..we have also hindu mathalogy which is also called Vedic maths.The human calculator is also indian...and yes its true not all r good but generally compared to other countries i think we r good because in our education system calculators r not allowed till class 12th and our society also have a mind set that if a child is good in maths he is intelligent..so i think due to pressure also we learn more calculation.

Fun fact : My programming rank in India on one of the biggest coding platform is above 20k . I filtered the result to check my rank in Pakistan , it was 27 . I was shocked 😍 Reason being programming needs good fundamentals of maths. PS : I'm not arrogant just saying

The Indian obsession with Math is legendary. The education system, society, culture-- everything promotes math. There is special focus on teaching and understanding math. Of course not everyone is excellent at it but in comparison to other countries higher ratio of people are good at math. Even in villages and in laborers you will not find people who dont understand practical math. There is a genetic trait of conceptual thinking which I suspect is present in Indians, which makes them better at math. You can understand it from the high number of engineers in the country. Of course Engineering and medicine is a choice but you have to understand that an analytical brain is needed for getting through 4-5 years of science college. I live in the US and I can see how the Indian students (along with Singaporean and Chinese students) are the best adaptors in math. Like the Americans and Germans are really good at physics. so I think it is a mixture of genetic abilites and cultural factors which makes more Indians better at math than other races.
