This song brought about an amazing conversation between myself and my husband of 16 years. I played it for him and asked him if he felt this way and he said, "Every single day." I was floored. Completely blown away. I had no idea men felt like this. So, I stepped up my game. When he comes home from work and spends a few more minutes than usual sitting outside in the truck, I'll take him a cold drink, and say something like "Come in when you're ready. Dinner will still be warm, so take your time." I don't ask questions; I just give him a little time to decompress. This song gave me a whole new perspective about him and what he goes through.

This shows yes). Nothing. He asks: "what are your thought first, you can still speak on what he said from your perspective. do you agree he is right?" Her: "He was vulnerable and had a good message". Of COURSE she does none of this and makes him feel none of this. Not once did she ask about HIS emotions or how he felt or if he ever felt this way or express anything to him. Went to a couple camp with my wife and it was the first time in our relationship where she understood the burdens that men like myself carry. As a man we are constantly bombarded about our masculinity. This speaks volumes on the things we want to say but can't.

My opinion this is a message for women to try and understand what us as men go through on a daily basis for our families. And our image as a father it’s our responsibility as a man to teach our sons how to be a man and treat women so when they become a man and have a family of their own they will be able to stand up and just keep moving forward to provide for his family

I can see what you are saying and I have to say I d o not agree with some of it. 75% of suicides are men because we cannot tell the lady in our life our feeling without being labeled as weak. Which in my thoughts is toxic femininity. I am saying we should be a blabbering mess and play the victim card but we should also not be considered weak by our women if we confide in them. this was like watching two seperate reaction videos. the song isnt about feminizing men, or about being weealthy and getting attention. its trying to show what men go through everyday and how were treated like shit because men are supposed to be strong for everyone at everytime. his reaction was emotional as the words hit and he knew it spoke for all men, her reaction was "oh cool song from his perspective".

I agree so much with the perspectives you both gave about finding a fine line in the middle of us guys working on letting our feelings out to prevent strong mental health issues, but also not feminizing men where we become too soft and too emotionally driven to where we can’t perform certain tasks as as a man in society that protects, provides and serves, because of our biological strengths to complete said tasks. I don’t think men are soft, men are leaders. A good man does it with out complaining but it doesn’t mean it weighs less. Some men have hold it in due to the environment. Men also have to prepare themselves to raise a son that will do the same but better as society beats them down.

Most of the women I've seen react to this kinda says something similar as what you said at beginning about not being a man. But the Song is a message "to" women. Us men can't "experientially" understand what it's like to be a woman, but from listening to women and what is shown in movies there is so much we see and can "intellectually" understand about you. And we still love you, but the opposite isn't true. If we show emotion or weakness, women reject us and we are seen as week or too sensitive.

Tone deaf. If you can’t shed emotions, you aren’t tough, you’re a liability in waiting. This isn’t sucking it all in, at all times, and there is no one-size-fits-all. Some dudes cry when their dog dies, when they fail a test, or don’t lift what they want one day. If they do it, then they are coping. Too soft is an understatement. I'm 60 and 5 guys between 25-35 years old started harassing me on a deserted backstreet a couple months ago.
