Really like investing in support gear, audio and lighting. It doesn't become obsolete and the cost of ownership is low because of the long life of the gear. Monopods are incredibly handy! Nice review.

Someone should try attaching that to an single hand gimbal as an extension. Not sure if the quick release can handle that weight well while that setup would be held horizontally.

Do you think the quick release is strong enough to handle a set-up on a gimbal for horizontal shots or jibs?

Depends on the weight of the gimbal camera for yeah I definitely think it’s strong enough if you take off the video head and is the 3/8 part.

With some tripods and monopods I prefer this version at it is just faster to change.

Hey! Great video and Im actually planning to pull the trigger on this monopod. Do you think I could put a small slider and a mirrorless on this without tipping over?

If you plan to actually slide the camera on the slider I think that’d be a little sketchy. Standing a camera on the monopod is doable, but the wider would make it wobbly pretty fast. Never seen anyone successfully do that.

Hi Ross. Great video. did i hear you say that i could attach a light gimbal (i have a Ronin SC) to the monopod? Wondering if it is strong enough to extend with a gimbal and my light sony a6400. thx

@@TheBrotographer Awesome, I'm sold. i like this gimbal application when I've done it with a tripod (with legs folded in), but its too bulky as you can imagine. monopod should be terrific for this.

Any benefits for the 47 inch c129 vs this 71 inch c180 model. Using in the field vs not in studio but c180 wgt seems almost the same, just 6 inches longer, 21 vs 27 inches in my backpack while hiking

Shorter ones would be more practical if traveling by air where space in the bag is at a premium. It also fits in more easily in a day pack if you don't like your gear hanging outside your bag. And in the unfortunate event it topples over, your camera will be falling from a much shorter height.

I have benro tripod too heavy to mug around and legs spread apart so wide takes up too much room in small area. I love this BUT I’m worried sony a9 with Sony 24-70mm the legs wont support especially fully extended this will topple over? I need this to extend to at least 6’2”. Please advise? Ty

No but you can purchase L brackets on Amazon or Bhphoto for $20 that work well.
