What is the point of NBP changing color based on subclass if it only works on void. Always wondered that...

FYI for anyone building for Conditional Finality is that the armor mods depend on the dynamic element type of the shotgun. For example you'll want solar loader instead of stasis loader because after the first stasis shot it changes to solar.

Just want to point out. The shotgun kills trigger force barrier was added to nbp in D1. Initially, nbp only increased the duration of force barrier. Bungie added the shotgun trigger later. The reason it felt powerful in d1 is because force barrier was a powerful perk. It stayed until the timer ran out or the overdshield was destroyed. There was blindingly fast reload while force barrier is active and the one that made force barrier constantly recharge until the duration ended. There was also a defender class node that increased force barrier's strength and duration. That duration STACKED with npb allowing you to have a near constant uptime of your force barrier. The loss of the class nodes that buffed force barrier is why nbp felt underwhelming in D2 as well as the D2 melees being more interesting than disintegrate. Remember, before the void 3.0 defender node had essentially disintegrate as a melee. The benefit of nbp was an easier way to trigger the titans melee perk for an overshield.

I’ve had a lot of fun using no backup plans with a last man standing that has discord. Since discord generates ammo on every kill while it’s active, it makes using a shotgun as a primary extremely easy. Really excited to see what shotguns roll with discord in the future

dont forget that with Trench Barrel + Void Overshield with No Backup Plans gives you 85% more damage

I still want it to work decently well with other subclasses, but work especially well for void. Edit: they have the color changes on the exotic for a reason!

I've really been loving this change. Used it on the second encounter in GoTD with double slugs and Acrius and boy howdy did it slap. Can't wait to try it in Tanik's this week

I have been having a lot of fun rocking No Backup with Conditional Finality, Basso Ostinato (lead from gold, destabilizing rounds), and Commemoration. I switch out Basso for an Age Old Bond if I need to but overall it covers so many things and allows me to fight in bad breath distance and come out on top... most of the time

I've been using NBP for soloing master lost sectors this season and can confirm that it SHREDS anything in front of it. it does make finding the perfect primary to run with it a bit of a struggle for certain encounters, but it's been worth it. I encourage any titan mains to try it out. Great vid and breakdown Cross!

Use them with RoN shotgun Nessas with repulsor and disruption rounds. Run around like crazy

Titan main here, been using these for the past few days and they are just flat out fun with every shotgun I pick. I do HIGHLY recommend a Basso Ostinato with Destabilizing Rounds if you want to use your exotic weapon elsewhere, talk about a room clearing lightshow.

i have been using the neroma shotgun with destabilizing rounds, constant over shield constant grenade uptime. its very fun

I feel like these should also apply to glaives. Maybe not to the same extent as shotguns but they have been pushing glaives and no real good exotics to really expand the builds, this would also fall in line with the feel of having a glaive, no ammo and being surrounded. A literal no backup plan scenario

You can use vexcalibur on a different subclass to gain the damage increase and overshield extension. The only void exclusive feature is shotgun kills granting an overshield

conditional finality, is such a fun gun, it’s like a nuke tube as well especially pair with nbp.

It makes me happy to hear him say why not i hate staying far from enemies and its why i struggle in late content cause i like to be close and personal always hence why i love bonk builds

Thx for the video. Only thing i'm a little sad about is that the craziest shotguns are the ones i don't have. Acreus is 240 raid coins away and conditional finality hasn't blessed me with its drop so far.

I've been loving the reworked no backup plans, have been on my titan more because of them.

As far as shotgun perks. Void shotguns with destabilizing rounds are phenomenal in add dense modes like 2nd encounter GOTD

My void builds I have cause of the seasonal artifacts are nasty. Constant overshields and health regen (one build I have ob my warlock) plus being able to weaken enemies with void damage. It also works with a finish it does a burst of weaken damage similar to felwinters helm

Shield throw synergizes EXTREMELY well due to the fact you can toss it out for a bit of OS then to kill a chump ad for a full cycle of overshield is just busted plus while fueling that cycle by getting shotgun kills to continue refreshing shield with shield throw

Been using this thing with an Overflow shotty and Acrius, it goes kinda hard ngl

I would like to make a small addendum as I can't quite remember or find you saying it in the video, that 35 percent buff does not stack with well or bubble. Still it doesn't override your surge mods, and this means you can be a bit more mobile, as you likely have to be when getting so close.

The Titan 3.0 subclasses removes some of my favorite things. I'll never stop missing my Defensive Strike tbh

I pair it with Manticore and an Auto Loading Holster legendary, I rush in with Shield Bash, blow my load with my shotgun, and dance away with Manticore getting damage resistance from in air kills before I rush back in for more when my melee is up. It's a super fun guerilla playstyle that shreds red bars and yellow bars alike

I think another change would help NBP be used a lot more. I’m thinking instead of using a VOID subclass, it should be ANY subclass. Also instead of while you have a VOID OVERSHIELD, it should be while you have a VOID OVERSHIELD, WOVEN MAIL, RADIANT, AMPLIFIED or after FREEZING/SLOWING a target. Last change I would make to bring back the melee part of the exotic is that after getting a melee kill, it partially or fully reloads the magazine of the shotgun. Just my thoughts and how to improve NBP 🤷🏼‍♂️

Damage over time effects get buffed while you have your shotgun out while using no backup plan. So Wither ect... you just need a overshield. That's it

This exotic is so sick with Duality. Do not underestimate the amount of damage that thing puts out at max stacks

bungie should bring back force barrier.. they removed it from titans melee in witchqueen, it was my fav melee.... the amount of shield it gave, the damage reduction, really good for melee builds.. ((but at the time there where 1 shot melees, but this still was my fav))

Now I'm a warlock Main. Friend of mine always plays Titan and wanted to do the final mission of Lightfall on legendary yesterday. So I went with him and a friend into the final mission. When we got to phase 2 of Calus.... I pulled out legend of acrius. Which I'm sure as you all know now has trench barrel. Four shots returned him to the deep. So Titans. I would highly suggest.... Revisiting legend of Acrius, with no backup plans. My favorite 2 exotic weapons in Destiny 2 have always been rat king and izanagi's burden. I've always wanted a Acrius to feel like is Izanagi. A devastating delete button. Now we're getting somewhere. And now that such a time as come...... WE are the cabal. We eat the mountains, we drink the seas.

I'd like to see someone trying the acrius build on the first dungeon boss and to compare it to bonk titan. I just feel solar titan is so good it renders everything else redundant

Hello there everybody I got an idea of how to bring stasis up to date again What if the 3 aspects that let you make stasis shards would be changed to heal you and shards would be created like tangles instead with a maxim of 5 shards at a time before a slight cooldown kicks in like for example 7seconds So you can play freeze builds on titan or enhance shatter builds for hunter and have heal I think this would make stasis better and more fun for all classes as it frees up your options

Basically It grains a 35% empowering buff benefit: titan can sacrifice thundercrash for 10% extra empowering buff in a well for dps, and the buff has been very inconsistent for me because melee range boss shreds your overshield The real practical use is it lowkey allows void sunclass to be viable in dps encounters, for its survivability, which is very subjective to different users, and likely not the play this season, where we get artifact perks for 35% dr when amplified

I can't stand that they're restricted to void now. They literally change color depending on your subclass, at least before they changed again they gave every shotgun pugilist. There could've been so much play with it boosting melee regen on shotgun hits and increasing shotgun damage after melee damage.

Gotta try this build with a Discord shotty.

Could always run triple shotgun if you really want to maximize this exotic. lol
