They performed pretty well considering how many centigors they were up against.

I think pistoliers are good on the matchup. Other factions don't bring that much oppressive light armoured cavalry. But there were some fumbles with micro with three pistoliers getting stuck on each other. And I reckon that it would still be worth bringing a couple of huntsmen to shoot down the slower large units like minotaurs or jabberslythe.

Huntsman is a great choice here to counter all the lightly armoured beastmen monster. Maybe even a net light caster or shadow caster with melkoth's work well for countering centigors too

Pistoleers are harrassers. Outriders are also harrasers but both perform their tasks in different ways. Do you want the harrassment to be persistant or as repeated strikes?
