I’ve loved dolls my whole life and, as an artist, nothing compares to the sheer joy people experience when someone falls head over heels in love with one of your babies!

i have depression and emergency hysterectomy so these babies help me so much!

My dolls help me in so many ways. I lost a baby years ago. I can look at my doll, and just imagine I'm finally getting the chance to love on the baby I lost. My only grandbaby moved out of my house with his mommy in the middle of the night when he was a couple weeks shy of his first birthday. They moved literally halfway around the globe, so I felt like I lost him, too. Plane tickets are so expensive, I didn't see that baby for 2 1/2 years! I looked at my doll, saw my grandson, and loved on him all I wanted to. (in my imagination, of course) Then, I looked at my doll and saw myself as a small child. I never felt loved as a child. I felt resented and rejected. I saw that doll as me, and I loved on me 'til I'd been loved enough! My dolls also help with my depression and my anxiety. I also just plain love the dolls! I love the artistic side of them. I'd love to try reborning myself. But mostly, I just love having something to love. So, I guess what I'm trying to say, is....yeah....I'm a doll collector who is totally, completely insane...and I'm totally ok with it. It is what it is! ......Love your channel!

I work with dementia clients and I brought my doll to them, to see their face light up and talk to him is priceless. It’s so awesome to see. And I never had a child and I do feel when I’m stressed, holding him makes it so much better. I was extremely hesitant to get into the hobby because of a lot of the negative stigma but I decided to try it out as a therapy tool for not being able to have kids. I have love dolls since I was a child. I don't care what others think. I have been collecting for 30 years.I love dolls, it's bring about a inner peace that brings joy.My collection has range from Faye Spanos to Annette himstedt. Those collection I have donated or gave away with the exception of my Himstedt. I start collecting reborn over 2 years ago. Before purchasing, I did my research.All boys in my collection,due to the fact that I have sons.Also in my opinion soft vinyl reborns reflexes the more realism of dolls, I do not desire or care for silcone dolls.That's my opinion, everyone should collect what they like. I have collected dolls long before it became popular.Dolls are 3 dimensional art work,as a crafter and a poet I appreciate true artistry of the true reborn artist. Not everyone understands,that's ok. I get it,people criticism or lack of knowledge does not brother me.

So true in what you are saying I just love dolls and I know they are not real. It is just a hobby for me like a stamp collecter, car, and coin collector. I think like you say it is good for therapy and a boy can have a doll collection just like a girl. It teaches them to be a good parent/ father, and it is a work of art.

I am 22 years olde and almost 23 in January 13th 2001 I will be 23 and I have special needs and the reborns help me and I she. 16 of them and I treat them like real babies because I just love to treat them like real babies ❤❤

i love the new intro, an for me my baby crystal is relaxing, and i cant have children for several reasons. my depression is one of the main reasons, im not able to physically either. my depression would make it unsafe for a living child in my life.

Yes that is so true they are also great for people with what they call empty nest sindrom where there children are now grown leaving home venturing out into the world leaving you with a sence of emptyness and lonelyness they are great for grandparents who are not close enough to be able to spend a lot of time or see there grandchildren all the time new young expectant parents use them to help them learn how to care for the child / baby they are about to be blessed with there are so many reasons people are drawn to these dolls other than the art and increadble realizium and i agree 100% dolls are not just for girls anymore i dont think they ever were people of all ages young or old boy or girl can enjoy and benifit form them

I meant my 1st reborns I'm painting it now. Actually I think it was back in 2000 that I was putting some doll kits together but then I stopped for many years and started again. So many new ways now to make a doll.🙂 I hope you don't mind me going in to this big spill. LOL🙂👍
