I don't use many technical indicators; I do use on balance volume where equities and commodities are concerned. I don't use Bollinger Bands anymore although it can be useful. I wouldn't trade a moving average strategy; once you've been in the market for a while you should get a grasp of what the market is doing. Dow Theory is quite useful; understanding higher highs and lower lows in particular.
