After 3 years without an owner, the Newcastle Jets' future is looking dire. Brad and Sogg go through all the drama of the clubs bad position and the search for new owners.

The problem lies in the sale itself. The joint owners want a return on their investment, and it's 4 separate entities that all have to agree on the right buyer's/price. On top of that the APL are looking to sting the prospective new owners with an exorbitant licencing fee. That scares off most prospective buyer's.

Look, it's tough as a Mariners fan. You're told to dislike them as they are rivals, but I've always liked the Jets, the fans are friendly people. But i dont want them to fold. I also visited their stadium this year in the f3 derby away and its a nice stadium. Hopefully they can work out things and stay 🙏

Clubs should be majority owed by the fans as is the case in Germany, not private investors who will close shop when they start losing money.

The Jets problematic ownership history all goes back to the old FFA stripping Con Constantine. Con wasn't perfect late in payments at times but he ran a tight ship. The FFA jumped up charges to give Con the boot in favour of the cashed up Nathan Tinkler and we've been paying the price since.

Quite scary times for Newcastle fans, even for just all A League fans. Like KFR said, hopefully they can get someone like Redbull on the phone for a last minute save the club option but I don’t see that as a very likely outcome. I’m sure all Newcastle fans would be absolutely fine if their club completely rebranded to become “Redbull Newcastle” if it was the difference between life or death of their club even though as much as losing their identity would be a shame

Didn’t know how bad it was for them, shame, hope somethings able to be done. Been looking for a good A lge pod or KZfaq channel for a while. Good on you lads 👍
