i remember when these first came out. The glasses didn't take off initially because everyone was worried about their privacy being invaded. Edit: About the filming in public vs. not filming in public debate. We should acknowledge the power imbalance between the public and the person behind the camera. For a person who does not want to be filmed it can be hard to escape the camera in some cases. Also, the person behind the camera can choose not to blur faces when they upload the video and choose not to delete the video when pressured to do so. Recording with these glasses is discrete, much more discrete than recording with a phone or DSLR. It's easy for someone to not realise they are being recorded.

fr, my ray ban frame was $400 or $500+ alone and i also have pretty bad astigmatism so my lenses were expensive, idrk how much they were tho . In total they prob worth somewhere around $1000 for glasses..

The amount of people buying these, is tiny compared to those scared of the bad things people can do with them. Which are all already doable with things even less noticeable than sunglasses with a light on in the front.

You might be on them but you will never know. You even got children creep videos where old dudes film children. It’s disgusting man. Such inventions are inventions made by men

@@kaszielYeah realistically most people aren’t staring at anyone around them with a phone. It’s already easy to do the same with a whole phone and significantly less obvious than sunglasses in an indoor, poorly lit changing room.

Absolutely it will, and I'm sure it's listed somewhere in the readings nobody ever reads in some itty bitty 5 pt text letting you know that you essentially just signed up for them to take like... everything you see and hear/say... who knows, maybe even when you're not even recording (most likely for the audio actually, correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure Alexa has been exposed for keeping tons of files with the random audio clips that it's constantly taking) it's a rlly scary prospect tbh

My mom actually has one. It’s kinda heavy, she doesn’t use the camera at all. She uses it for Bluetooth and calls while working, and it has a built in ai in it. The ai isn’t really good. You can also tell if someone is recording you (light flashes). And you can tell if someone is playing music

You can take Videos and pictures without your phone, these glasses can save up to 32GB. But you can only record 1minute long Videos

I see a lot of people mentioning how creepy these are so just to clarify! The glasses flash when you take videos and photos, and if you try and cover the flash - the recording will not work. So it is more obvious when someone is taking photos with these glasses!
